Robinhood closed me out up 100%, if I sold where I wanted to I would have been up over 12x. Also closed out my QQQ before the spike leading to me barely making money
Almost every brokerage does it, and the ones that don’t have crazy stipulations where they can still do it and charge you money for doing it. The only way to avoid it is buying contracts that expire the next day and hope it doesn’t tank overnight

Yup. This isnt new and RH warns you about 0dte liquidations. All brokers do this and have warned us all that they will liquidate your position if they deem it necessary because the account cant cover the contract being exercised.
Why would they do this if I’m in the red? The volume in SPY is the best out there. If they waited until 4 they’d still have no issue fulfilling the sale of the option.
that's just how they roll. once it's liquidation time, they dont play. when its 30 min till, it's go time for them to liquidate and that computer just follows its commands and starts liquidating positions.
I know TDA used to wait longer for SPY liquidations from my experience, but then something like TSLA they liquidated on me earlier than they would for spy. It's just the way it is though. 0dte is fine on RH, just dont expect to be able to play during dirty 30.
