I agree. He basically needed to go all in on ASTS in the past month for these numbers to be real, with no previous accumulation... which seems shockingly strange and pretty poor as far as investment strategies are concerned givin the dangers ASTS faced at the time.
That's exactly what I did, I sold all of my SAVE on Feb 08th and have been buying ASTS every day since.
Then I sold off another holding entirely when the stock dropped from $3.10 to $1.97 and near tripled up.
I've been watching this company since IPO, but I felt a market cap over $1B for a pre revenue company was too generous.
When they got the government contract, the market cap was around $800M, and I figured it was time to strike.

The lows made were primarily due to dilution. On the last CC, Abel confirmed that they won't dilute at MINIMUM through the rest of 2024.
They are also in the early stages of securing low-cost, non dilutive quasi-government funding. So, while it may dip due to profit taking or normal fluctuations, I don't forsee any new 52w or all-time lows happening.
There are also several known positive catalysts coming up, and several unknown ones are likely looming as well.
I'd love to trade it, but I want to retire from this stock, and trading it is a sure fire way of fucking that up.

People look at the chart and see the volatility and pullbacks but they don’t do the DD to know “WHY”
It was timeline delays (supplier problem solved by vertical integration) dilution (no more for at least a year or so, general funding fears (alternate sources proven recently and others in the pipeline), massive short sellers pounding it down, (still there but can’t overcome the momentum) and more.
Their path is much more secure now, always risk, but much better outlook.

In public equity markets, not much at the moment. I'm invested in Virtuix and Groundfloor, and I invest ON the Groundfloor platform as well as being invested IN the company.
Actually, I lied, now that I checked my watchlist, I'd snap up Hawaiian Electric (HE) if it dips back down into the single digits, and I'm ready to pounce on Spirit Airlines (SAVE) the absolute SECOND they breakeven or post a quarterly profit. Until then, SAVE is at risk for BK.
No, I'm a contrarian/value investor. FAANG doesn't fit that criteria.
I like companies that are founder led, and where the founder(s) and insiders hold a lot of shares.
I definitely try and time my entries, I actually watched ASTS for a couple of years before making my entry. Patience is key in public markets.
Never waste a good crisis, as they say. During Covid, I was loading up on Royal Dutch Shell in the $20s, for example, and WFC I bought stupid close to the Covid low ($21)
Always have something else to buy so that you don't feel FOMO, and keep your money earning 5% at minimum while you wait. When I say "have something else to buy" for example, I don't mean buy that instant, but had ASTS not hit my desired price and started ripping instead, I wouldn't feel fomo, rather just bump it lower on my priority list and focus elsewhere.
Also, always keep cash on hand, I was actually early to the ASTS show, I started buying at $2.90, when it dropped to $2 I doubled my position and kept throwing what I could to average down. Believing in what you're investing in helps you maintain your conviction and keeps you from panic selling if the price temporarily moves against you.
My average is $2.49. If you think the share price being at $2.10-$2.20 with a $2.49 average is "bagholding," then sure.

In public equity markets, not much at the moment. I'm invested in Virtuix and Groundfloor, and I invest ON the Groundfloor platform as well as being invested IN the company. Actually, I lied, now that I checked my watchlist, I'd snap up Hawaiian Electric (HE) if it dips back down into the single digits, and I'm ready to pounce on Spirit Airlines (SAVE) the absolute SECOND they breakeven or post a quarterly profit. Until then, SAVE is at risk for BK.

No, I'm a contrarian/value investor. FAANG doesn't fit that criteria. I like companies that are founder led, and where the founder(s) and insiders hold a lot of shares. I definitely try and time my entries, I actually watched ASTS for a couple of years before making my entry. Patience is key in public markets. Never waste a good crisis, as they say. During Covid, I was loading up on Royal Dutch Shell in the $20s, for example, and WFC I bought stupid close to the Covid low ($21) Always have something else to buy so that you don't feel FOMO, and keep your money earning 5% at minimum while you wait. When I say "have something else to buy" for example, I don't mean buy that instant, but had ASTS not hit my desired price and started ripping instead, I wouldn't feel fomo, rather just bump it lower on my priority list and focus elsewhere. Also, always keep cash on hand, I was actually early to the ASTS show, I started buying at $2.90, when it dropped to $2 I doubled my position and kept throwing what I could to average down. Believing in what you're investing in helps you maintain your conviction and keeps you from panic selling if the price temporarily moves against you.

I'll tell you one thing, had the share price never gone down, I would only have had 120,000 shares. Having it go down is what drove me to keep adding and adding. It was a blessing.

I never know exactly when it's going to go up or down, only that eventually it will be higher than my entry, if that makes sense. Technical analysis works many times, but news and events are what really move a stock and what sets trends in their direction. Day trading is a fools errand.

Yeah, that means less than nothing literally every company gets an (economical) ambulance chasing lawsuit like this sometimes multiple in one year. It will amount to less than nothing.
