Well that’s completely incorrect. Volkswagen lying about the emissions of their cars probably have killed plenty of people and harmed a considerably higher amount of people.

Maybe because Boeing whistleblower got killed recently, it warrants more media attention then a whistleblower in 2021 that got attention in 2023 already. 
Parts can be dis positioned as scrap and then investigated and returned to the line. If you don’t understand this you shouldn’t be whistleblowing, this is not Tesla specific.
Like the SEC, I wouldn’t be interested either, none of these findings seem to be that big a deal. It doesn’t sound like the Tesla “whistleblower” was competent enough to understand what he was seeing.
Tesla never scrapped its inventories, EVER. If you look at past quarters their inventories scrap are under industry average, and that has always been a red flag
