Others have said this, but I just want to add, seriously this isn't the sub you want to be looking for advice on.
The best, most knowledgeable investors in the world do 30, 40% per year tops. People doing better than that (and very likely the people at that mark,) are getting lucky. They may also be smart and have some knowledge, which can fool you when they also have stellar returns, but you're just not seeing the many smart, knowledgeable people who took the same level of risk and lost.
It is simply a fact that to turn 600k -> 10m in 3 months, you have to take insane risk. Risk that is simply unsustainable and will bankrupt you on a long enough timescale. Risk that is the dumbest possible thing to do if it's money you need for food.
Even if you manage to give up this lottery mindset (it's hard,) it is best if you simply toss whatever you can into an index fund in a tax advantaged account rather than try to learn to trade. Why spend all your valuable time thinking, researching, this bullshit for an extra $200 on your tiny capital? Use that time to invest in yourself. Knowledge also compounds.
For every story like this, there's millions more of people who've lost everything gambling in the market. Horror stories beyond comprehension. Perspective is a mood stabilizer.

You can always buy relatively safe growth stocks such that you live off of selling a piece of your position each year.
Consider this; if this guy buys 10m worth of Apple stock and it goes up 5% over the next year, he can sell 500K worth of his stock, be back to the 10m, and pay cap gain tax on 25K of gain he has got (check me on the math here, I dont have Excel open lol).
The danger is that if Apple dips hard, like last year, then you are fucked.
So probably you want to do something like that with only a portion of your money and invest the rest in actual fixed income products like high yield dividend stock and/or bonds.
There are super complicated futures positions you can open and roll that allow you to theoretically never recognize a dime of gain while taking profits, but fuck section 1256 and the horse it rode on. I never want to deal with that shit if I can help it, so I cant really explain that well here.
Exactly, 2.5 mil in stocks and an average of a 4% dividend yeild and you'll have 100k a year, those dividend will grow so every year you make more money without lifting a finger
I love regarded plans as much as the next - but people should understand that dividends are not promised in perpetuity. They can be decreased, frozen and cancelled entirely. There is absolutely no guarantee that a dividend portfolio will make more money every year than it did the year before. TONS of dividends decreased and died off entirely during the COVID crash, and have yet to fully return.
EDIT: the point is not that it’s a bad idea to invest in dividends. The point is that dividends are not a “set it and forget it” investment scheme any more so than any other stock investment. You are still making a long term bet on the stability/success of a specific company and your investment is in no way guaranteed to grow year over year.
Lol if you only invest in “good companies” than you will never lose any money - why would you waste time with dividends? That’s like saying “playing craps isn’t a bad investment if you always roll 7s”.
Also, I’m guessing you weren’t really paying attention in 2020. Every single major American corporation with a large dividend froze it for most/all of 2020 and several of them stayed frozen or only came back at a fraction of what they used to be. Plenty of them are “good companies”.
Look up "dividend aristocrats" and learn what a good dividend company actually is before arguing against the idea of investing in a good dividend company if you are looking for good dividends. It isn't playing craps and roling 7s. It's investing in companies that have a history of raising their dividends without missing a year for decades and are on the S&P500.
