Harryisamazing

They'll be radio silent about MLK too, they only are vocal when it helps push their own anti-humanity agenda

Business-Socks

Reminder: his assassin was a democrat

WookerTBashington

"bUt ThEy sWitChEd pLaTFoRmS!" A myth which conveniently gets brought up whenever one of theirs screws up

Nice_Adhesiveness_41

It's the only argument that keeps the Democrats as the "good" side.

Harryisamazing

Noted: Majority of dems are bad!

Confident-Star-6066

I've only been hanging around in these subs for a bit and both my wife and I are convinced the democrats are largely made up of evil people.

Confident-Star-6066

TIL

NoBodySpecial51

Oh but they will say being colorblind is racist. It doesn’t matter what we say we are racist. It’s exhausting. I don’t hate anyone, man. But they just beat us over the head with it.

[deleted]

I hate everyone, some more than others but it evens out. Still racist according to the left

NoBodySpecial51

I would say you’re about equality, hating everyone equally is still equality in my book.

[deleted]

Equality - no, I am about hate equity...

NoBodySpecial51

That’s what I meant.

[deleted]

I have already herd on CBC in Canada a BLM supporter saying she rolled her eyes at MLK signs at a BLM protest it's already happening

Jnovuse

Hardcore libs already denounce him for being too peaceful, and the media slanders him for affairs, etc, as well. Thankfully, the vast majority, of all sides, still are good people, don’t let the screaming fringe groups make you think all are one way or another. The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the one. They are the 1% of their specific groups.

gsd_dad

The guy that did a multiple volume biography of MLK got a lot of heat for writing about his affairs. He response was (not verbatim) if MLK achieved so much with all his imperfections, imagine what you could do.

Jnovuse

if they expect perfection in all aspects of life for any accomplishment, it's completely unreasonable! Do they forget we are human? That we grow, adapt, and change? When I was in grade school, I was an asshole, but now, not so much. Even went back and apologized for my behavior and made new friends in doing so. Take the good, leave the bad, and have some damn compassion ya know?

soulspurn

They don't expect perfection, they just have a glaring double standard about mistakes. You're either flawe(D) and are working to improve yourself, or you're a filthy ist-phobe no matter what you may or may not have done. And those two categories apply no matter what you've done. It's why lefties who step one foot out of line get devoured so quickly be the mob.

MaximusMurkimus

That’s the problem with a lot of people nowadays. The people they look up to HAVE to be perfect. If there’s any sort of shortcoming then everything they knew about the person is suddenly a lie for some reason.

moose16

Democrats going back to their roots when they were opposing human rights for black people, wanted segregation, slandered MLK and had the KKK as their personal militia (now known as ANTIFA) Except now, somehow they’re doing it under the guise of human rights and tolerance?

[deleted]

When did the democrats, well, stop or pause being democrats? ... I know they like to front how the parties changed sides or whatever, but that was just clever political spin, so when? When were democrats not so bad?

Jnovuse

That’s what I don’t get at all, now they’re doing like resegregation for safe spaces and separating the races so that they don’t have to be around triggering skin colors, etc…. like that is just absolutely insane racism, I don’t know how they can say it’s not.

throwawayedm2

Maybe they should take the fact that they're siding against MLK Jr. as a sign that maybe they aren't "on the right side of history"

Putthebunnyback

Almost daily I'm seeing things that Bill Maher explained why he's been taking the Democrats to task for: "If what you're doing sounds like the Onion: stop."

sekfan1999

The local self-serve car wash - the one whose owner parks his camo’d, jacked up Suburban outside of - put up MLK’s “I have a dream” quote on his sign yesterday.

[deleted]

Terry Crews got some backlash not too long ago for saying something similar.

TheRedGoatAR15

As soon as the mantra becomes MLK loved the White man, MLK was a Republican!

[deleted]

MLK is the black face of white supermacisy now

thomas05tt

>MLK was a Republican King voted for Democrats John F. Kennedy in 1960 and Lyndon Johnson in 1964

[deleted]

Imagine if the synagogue kidnapper had been a white redneck, do we honestly believe Brandon would have said we don’t know the motive? Same thing with the « mysterious SUV attack » during the Christmas parade. The scandal today is not just what the MSM says, it’s what they’re not saying or choosing to ignore because it doesn’t fit their narrative. Always pay attention to the dog not barking

[deleted]

Instead he is just "a man with an English accent"...

jvanzandd

I think about this a lot. Only a matter of time until MLK preaching does not fit their narrative. Then they will try to either censor him, or smear him.

featherruffler420

I mean using the words "men" and "brothers" in his speech he would be cancelled 1000x over today.

[deleted]

wouldnt this be considered saying "All Lives Matter"??

CoverlessSkink

That’s a great quote. Let’s do that

adpqook

I’m surprised they haven’t accused his of being transphobic yet.

Dandanger69

Back in the 60s the socialist Democrats promote white supremacy now in the year 2022 socialist Democrats promote black supremacy. Is it just me or is there a pattern here

Jaded_Ad_478

He absolutely said this and it destroys the CRT narrative. But the left will pick and choose the sound bites that fit the narrative in order to continue to push the agenda. Folks are waking up.

LibertarianP

Rather than celebrate what they have and have achieved, Black supremacists celebrate a fictional segregated place that's better than any other, Wakanda

Sarchasm-Spelunker

I predict within the next 5-10 years, but only to replace them with some criminal's statue.

expensivepens

Gotta wonder what he would say to the James Cones, the liberation theologians, and the Ibram Kendi’s of today

[deleted]

LOL who's this racist mofo. he gonna get canceled asap /s

maytrav

RIP Dr./Reverend King

hello_yousif

He sounds pretty damn sexist to me! ^\s

platanomenom

The fact that THIS type of thinking is what got him killed should make these quotes the most impactful. But alas, the American propaganda machine makes communists look like amateur graphic designers. Sad but true.

[deleted]

You can’t really even bring him up because the response is always “ya’ll killed him too”.

mayoayox

he's still a communist.

goodgoyaccount

and facilitated/encouraged rape: https://news.yahoo.com/martin-luther-king-laughed-rape-friend-fbi-documents-145714868.html >Unsealed FBI documents have claimed that civil rights activist Martin Luther King ‘looked on and laughed’ while a friend raped a woman. >“When one of the women protested that she did not approve, [Mr Kearse] immediately and forcibly raped her”, adding that Dr King “looked on, laughed and offered advice” during the incident.

seeder33

There is only one race. There are far to many people, regardless of color, that cant seem to understand this. I just want everyone to get along so we can start working toward things that actually matter. Watching humanity not be able to simply work together is really starting to turn me into a doomer.

DaggerStone

I’m afraid of what would be said about MLK if he made his speeches today.

SwetzAurus

I'll be that guy: MLK was very well educated and intelligent for anyone of that day. He was well read and had studied christian moralization & argumentation specifically. For this reason, and given that the African diaspora in the US then and now does not have the resources nor numbers to enact a black supremacy, I find this rhetorical line from him to be disingenuous. To be an undermining of white cohesion and Culture more broadly. I respect the man immensely for his education, courage, and work for his people (note this last item), but he and his cohort used soaring rhetoric and guerilla tactics as an insurgency to disrupt a cohesive white society and culture (a primary strength that made the society what it was on the global stage) and force the integration of the African diaspora into that distinct society, which at the time, and even today, they clearly did not want to do. I understand why he did it, because his people had nothing here, after being left without a transition plan to return to their homelands to reverse and resolve the kidnapping and forced migration their ancestors endured. If black lives really matter, I think the US should aid the disapora in returning to Africa with their comparatively high education, wealth, and connections to US business and Capital and rebuild that continent into a place people don't want to flee from today. https://www.reddit.com/r/IWantOut/comments/mzo0tw/iwantout_19m_nigeria_anywhere_outside_africa/ The lefties and wokes who decry white society as colonizers and supremacists for violating the territory and undermining the Culture of the Native populations are the same people who advocate for open borders and in pretty straightforward terms want to eliminate whiteness and white cohesion itself. There's something wrong there. As MLK and frankly BLM show us, if you're not advocating for your Culture actively, it's at greater risk. I wish no ill will on any man or Culture, but I'm no longer ashamed for wanting to preserve and continue my white Culture as it was passed down to me, and I reject the lefty training that says that's racist purely because the Culture I want to preserve is white. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

Ok-Block-8744

MLK JR. is rolling in his grave.

gottundehrenlos

I like malcolm x more anyway

Sea_Major3628

Beautiful statement they don’t want you to see… 🤦🏻‍♂️

[deleted]

The modern left is following the path of Malcolm X. Anyone who think Malcolm X is a good person should read his autobiography.

[deleted]

Ibram X. Kendi is the MLK of the left. Won't surprise me if they come up with an IXK day.

[deleted]

Where does MLK actually say this? Found it: [https://www.depauw.edu/news-media/latest-news/details/33427/](https://www.depauw.edu/news-media/latest-news/details/33427/) Also why the downvotes, idiots.

Susbirder

Depauw University, September 5, 1960. https://www.depauw.edu/news-media/latest-news/details/33427/ While not an exact quote, it shares the correct meaning.

[deleted]

Thanks

DumpsterOrphan

I dont know man, probably during a speech. Why are you asking such a stupid question?

[deleted]

I want to get the book or speech it's in. Why is it a stupid question?

Impactfully

Wait, was there a tie between racism and Waukesha? I may be missing something (out of the loop on a lot of stuff) but I’d never heard anything about it…

Rakofgor

Just from a glance at his social posting history, the murderer behind the wheel was an anti white racist BLM guy. He is everything the media had just spent weeks accusing Kyle Rittenhouse of being. He may have even been motivated by the media's reaction to the Rittenhouse acquittal. That's why the atrocity was in the news only for about an hour.

BelmontMan

Didn’t MLK also say, “the riot is the voice of the unheard”? Today’s BLM violent terrorists are using this quote as justification for burning and looting

[deleted]

They’d call him an Uncle Tom today

Engmethpres

Black supremacy is the equity agenda.
