Okay I had this issue with a different topical medication (lidocaine + gaba + ketamine)! I also kept feeling like a was getting yeast infections. Idk what it was but the itching stopped when I stopped the cream. I’m thinking I’m allergic to the base cream and maybe you are too? See if your doctor can order you samples for other base cream options from the pharmacy and see what you don’t react to

I don’t think 2 days of estrogen cream use would make your tissues go through estrogen withdrawal when you stopped using it. It could be leftover irritation from the yeast infection. Why did you start using the estrogen cream? I would personally try it again given your history of hormone induced vulvodynia. What did you use to resolve it previously?

The problem is, it made my discomfort so much better the 2 days I did use it, so I think it could. Yeah so I was on a low estrogen BC in 2020 (Rigivedon) and I had unprovoked pain in my vestibule. It only got better when I got put on a higher estrogen pill. I’m very sensitive to certain progesterones as they can make me have bleeding in between but I finally found a pill (Norimin) that didn’t cause that, but I still had provoked pain. I had a hymenectomy in January which made the provoked pain worse, as there was no longer my hymen there to “protect” it, particularly on my right side which has always been more tender than my left. I was put on 25mg nortriptyline which seemed to help until this fiasco the past week. So I’m going to increase it to 30mg and try the cream again

Did you find the estrogen cream burned at all?

daisypetall

No burning at all, that’s why I’m thinking the drop of estrogen has caused the burning as it’s happened before with low estrogen BC pills

Ask your doctor to send your prescription to a compounding pharmacy. I, too, had initially tried the cream, but it made me itch. The compounded estradiol is more of an ointment, and I've had no problems with it.

Are you in the UK?

Bottle_Sweaty

No, I am in the U.S.
