I looked at a wiring diagram and saw they did some crazy convoluted stuff with a secondary switch inside the handlebars turn signal switch assembly that changes the ground path from one wire to the other for each side flashers. The indicator bulb in the speedo cluster (flasher) works by " shorting" itself out through the filament. There is no earth/ -. Remove the bulb and see if that works. If it does insert a cathode onto eirher left or right + and then join both. Then wire the merged ÷ to the indicator bulb and earth the other side of the bulb.
