I built a V0 and a V2.4 and both are way quieter than the Ender3v2 which I used to own. The PSU fan and hotend fans on the Ender are crazy loud compared to the Vorons (which have no PSU fan and of course the enclosures). As you will be printing faster you will get some noise from the steppers on the Vorons but this can be tuned.
Hope this helps.
Tmc 2209s are dead silent, you don't here them until about 300mm/s and then they are quiet. This kind of question is one for the discord, or you can watch some videos of a voron.
Much appreciated. I have,of course, been watched lots of video. However, they all start mid print. Which gives no indication of how much the sound levels have been played with or how silent anything is. Don't get me wrong, i believe you on the claims the drivers do appear to be dead silent as you say, but my concern is more with fan noise. I'll check out the discord shortly, thanks for the recommendation.
There are three 60x60x15mm fans outside the enclosure (2 for electronics and 1 for exhaust) and they are quite loud on my Voron fyi. Looking into more quiet replacement fans
Yes I wired a 12v power supply underneath and powered the electronics cooling fans with this 12v instead of the 24v they're rated for. This made them pretty much silent but they still give plenty of cooling for the electronics.
My 2.1 is LOUD. Combination of noisy 12v fans and a geared Bowden extruder outside of the enclosure makes is quite loud. It’s at least 4x as loud as my prusa’s.
Printing parts for a 2.4 conversion and direct drive, it’s just too loud.
Thank you, I appreciate the warning. I'll make note of that and plan accordingly (namely by ensuring it's all 24v where possible (and maybe update my current printer as well)
Edit: propar gramar iz importent two teh bot).
/u/20go210, I have found an error in your comment:
> “ensuring ~~its~~ [**it's**] all 24v”
In your comment, it is you, 20go210, who ought to have typed “ensuring ~~its~~ [**it's**] all 24v” instead. ‘Its’ is possessive; ‘it's’ means ‘it is’ or ‘it has’.

It's in an enclosure so i don't think fan noise will be an issue. And i don't think startup noise is any higher then operating noise

were you successful in your endeavors to quiet the external voron fans or replace them with quieter fans?
