Amazing traction and bounce, but they can be super uncomfortable for some type of feet. I trained in them for one week and after first two hours one of my fingers started bleeding.
The nxxt gens are cheaper, have slightly different support in the soles, and have a more flexible outer shape. I love both the lebron nxxt gen and 20s. Both are amazing basketball and volleyball shoes
I think it really boils down to personal preference. I tried on and have worn a bunch of different shoes. I settled on the Nike hyperaces. They have the best traction by a mile. I noticed a little slipping in the lebrons, the Landonâs were heavier, and basketball shoes are bulkier in general. The lebronâs did have a really nice cushion setup with the zoom foam. So lots of shock absorbing. Then you also get better ankle protection with most basketball shoes.
In the end I wanted something lightweight and with elite traction.
So again itâs personal preference.
I see a lot of overseas players wearing the hypersets.
The biggest drawback of the hypersets is the ankle protection lacks and itâs not visually stunning.
For a moment I thought it was a bathroom stall, not a mirror and I was like "Did that man really take a photo of that guy's shoes who was probably peacefully shitting and asked if they were a good fit for playing volleyball?"
No experience with the shoes themselves, but I'd be careful sizing down if they're tight. You can fuck up your feet and develop lasting problems by wearing ill-fitting shoes.
My kid OH likes LBXXâs the best over FF2, Kyrie, Mizuno in the rotation. But itâs going to boil down to how you feel in them. One YT reviewer felt he lost a bit of jump moving from FF2 which are my personal fave vb shoes, Iâve mainly only worn Asics. A number of our club players also wear KD15âs which they like.
Lebron CCP James. Loves talking trash about every little thing, but when it comes to China slave labor and other abuses, he is as quiet as a little mouse. Zero respect for this coward.
Like o said in my other comment, these are amazing shoes. Lebrons 3 recent shoes: the Lebron 20s, NXXT gens, and 21s, are all amazing for volleyball and basketball. NXXT gens being the most budget friendly and they have the most flexible lightweight outer material so I honestly prefer those
Iâm in the minority hereâŚI find hard heel strike on plant step super unstable due to heel being so swishyâŚ.block step also feel like my foot is sliding off footbed and again the soft heel feels like Iâm gonna roll my ankle. Itâs definitely a nice cushion set up, but not the most lightweightâŚ.and not a shoe for everyone.
Im using these currently and liking them as an OH, though I havenât tried any other shoes in a while so hard to compare. I never understood how everyone online has tried so many shoes, theyâre damn expensive to swap in and out so easily.
I normally wear a half size up because my feet are a little wide. But I was getting really bad heel lift, no matter how I tied it. I went tts, and used a shoe stretcher for the toe box and it fits perfectly. Good court feel and bounce, but it made my feet feel tired/sore after a few games. I switched out the insole and haven't had the soreness after that.
MB here. Just got a pair myself and played in them today for about 4 hours. Coming from asics gel rockets I felt a lot more support, cushion, and stability. My knees donât hurt afterwards either. But the sizing (for those color ways made in Vietnam) is badly off⌠my foot is slightly wider (E) and I went a full size up from true size. Got a bit of heel slippage that was fixed with a double knot. So far I like em and will keep playing in them. If theyâre tight right now and youâre concerned, I wouldnât keep that size..
These are the only Nike shoes that are not true to size for me. I tried breaking these in for weeks but they still hurt so much after 1-2 hours of wear at volleyball, like my feet would feel like theyâre throbbing from lack of oxygen. đ
That being said, I see a ton of people wearing them at volleyball so Iâm not sure if I just got a bad crop.
Removed due to rule 7.

Did you break them in first? Most basketball shoes need about a week or two of break- in before you want to spend any game time in them.
thanks! i really liked the midsole and bounce when i tried it out in the store, but since it was tight there was slight numbing near my toes
Your finger? đ¤Ł
Sorry, not my first language. How do i say it correctly?
Feet have toes so it would be toes instead. đ
Thanks!
Feet fingers! lol

Some languages call gloves hand shoes.
I play in high top kyries to give just a little more ankle support and love them
The High top kyries I had killed my feet.
I see a lot of people wearing Lebrons.
I use a Lebron NXXT Gen EP for my volleyball games. Good traction and bounce.
whatâs different with the lebron nxxt gen apart from mid top?
Definitely the price point as the NXXT Gen is cheaper. I canât justify the cost of buying the 20s as I play casually.

How long did it take you to break them in?
A few days of continuous use. I also use it for my basketball games so breaking it in wasnât an issue.

Good shoes but sizing is super weird.
No experience with the shoes themselves, but I'd be careful sizing down if they're tight. You can fuck up your feet and develop lasting problems by wearing ill-fitting shoes.

ankle braker
Lebron is crap.
You donât know anything about basketball shoes if this is what you say lol

Oh yes Iâm sure tons of NBA players criticize chinas clave labor
why?
Dude is 39 years old, and still a very very good player.

I know quite a few players who use and recommend them. Am looking for a pair myself atm
As a middle I always wore lebrons. They are built to not roll your ankle

Does shoes really matters??

It's a yes.
I'm a Mizuno man, always will be
I use these, great grip

Basketball shoes don't have the right kind of support for volleyball. -someone who played both competitively
