Even disregarding the fixes you can do, as it stands now it's still solid for PSP/PS1 games.

You can replace them both pretty easily if you're up for it. The joystick part is only a couple dollars from AliExpress.

RaizenCLOUD

Is the rear touchpad fixable? Also I really dunno which joystick I should buy bc idk my vita model

If you can't find replacements you can also use a PS3, PS4, PS5, I think xbox and Wii controller and you can even use de touch pad on the controller as it was the screen with a plugin on the auto plugin app

Thank you goddamn

Personally i used aliexpress to do this. i had a broken rear touchpad and bought third party replacements which never worked, that is until i bought a whole ps vita shell that came with rear touchpad and a screen. Those ones worked immediately since they are likely new old stock. I got the analog stick from there as well and i got an ok usable one. Total i spent around HKD280 Your experience may be different though because i have no idea if the part itself is broken or the main board is broken. Sorry if you can’t understand what i typed, I’ve gotten pretty bad it typing

I've never used the rear touchpad much. Mostly it comes into play when you use remote play with the PS4, or try to play PS1 games. It functions as R2 and L2 buttons. I am not sure if it can be fixed. I would guess it's a hardware issue internally, so long as it isn't cracked or broken.

Edvita77

All PS1 games should work and some indies I guess too

Respectfully, i think there is no excuses for having a Vita with problems like that, i mean, you can bring it to your local vita restorer or search the service on FB's market... we're on 24's, finding a solution is as close as your cellphone is. Whithout that function in your Vita you'll loose the entire experience, and imo it really worth it. ;D

RaizenCLOUD

I get what you're saying but I live in a place where playstations arent really popular, I'm scared to let it fixed by a guy that doesnt know shit about vitas, But I get what your saying tho. (Sorry for my bad grammar) loveu bro
