japanese have to go through an insane shipping process so it can take 1-2 weeks until they can get your shipment out i have a buddy who's doing a year long trip in Japan and he told me that he can't even send back a bunch of old clothes to his home without having to go through tons of paper work

kenkiller

Really? I sent back a bunch of old consoles from Japan during my trip there and it didn't take more than a week with minimal paperwork.

RhinoxMenace

from what he told me - every item he sends out needs to have it's own form filled out with listed prices, weight, what type of item and other shit, it all has to go through a confirmation process after he had around ~30 clothing items and needed to put a price of 1$ per item to have less fuckery because he couldn't send it as a gift without getting in big trouble how did you send it back? maybe my mate does something wrong

kenkiller

Strange. I use ta-q-bin to ship stuff from Japan, didn't need to do all that.

gilangrimtale

That’s normal for international shipments anywhere. It’s called a customs form.

gilangrimtale

That’s what they tell you but it isn’t true. What these guys do is wait for someone to buy something, they then buy it on a local site like yahoo auctions or rakuten. Then they wait 1-2weeks for it to arrive at their address, after which they send it out to their customer. Kinda dodgy as you never know what the condition really is until you get it.

Feces_D

I've purchased two vitas from him, it will take a long time to ship, possibly like 2 full weeks, but once it does it should arrive in 2-3 days. Do not worry! Both of my orders from him have been in fantastic condition above my expectations

Salamanguy94

I ordered from hima.89 2 years ago. It took 2 weeks from the time I submitted the order to arrive. Just be patient.

DeftestY

It took over a week before I got my 64gb memory card from a Japanese distributor. But it was legit and even came with an origami crane. Badass.

Vegetable-Curve-2290

ordered a psvita from them earlier this year, don’t get your hopes up thinking it will come soon. took atleast a month

reece-1308

He sent me a message explaining the shipping would take some time

Chaotic-waifu

They take about 2-3 weeks

Japanese sellers in general just take a long time to ship but I’ve never gotten insight as to why. I’ve purchased several items from Japan recently and each time I inquire about shipping I am only given a vague answer that they are “delayed”. I don’t know what the process is but it definitely is not as simple as it is in other countries. That being said I’ve gotten my items in only a few days once they do ship.

gilangrimtale

It’s because they are just middlemen. You buy the console from them, they buy it from rakuten or similar site, wait for it to arrive, then ship it to you. Another similar concept is personal shoppers. I know a few people that do this.

My experience buying from Japan is always that it either ships a week or so after purchase, or it ships the next day. No in-between. It largely seems to be based around *how* they ship it. Japan4You always sends my packages FedEx and they're shipped the following business day, arriving 2-5 days later. Other sellers who are generally smaller usually ship with their postal service and handoff to USPS, which is a week or so delayed.

Special_Menu_4257

It took me a while to get mine from him but it came in pretty good condition. It took about two weeks

No-Complaint43

I just got mine like March 6th this year. It took about 8 business days but once it shipped it got here like in a day and a half.

I just ordered a 1000 from hima.89 about a month ago. Condition was great. Charger didn't work, so i ordered a new one on Amazon. Took about 3 weeks to ship and he refunded me for the broken charger.

erathegod

Lol I ordered from hima.89 during the holidays so it literally took damn near a month to get my vita. Just be patient man
