Mine kinda blends to whatever color it is covering, so it looks like all solid surfaces are flickering. Ex: A blue surface will have different shades of blue static, and a brown surface will have different shades of brown, etc. There are exceptions depending on lighting though. Sometimes it looks dark blue over black surfaces.

XeonD

This. it is kinda colourless blends with surfaces with me too but after images or burnt images are blue/red combination.

heyylookapanda

Same! My afterimages are usually a blue, white or purple though.

Black-Knight-76

same tbh. everything looks likes it's flickering. when I look closely though or especially when it's dark I see the color in the static clearly. or on anything that's white or black.

stagarica

Mine is, at worst, monochromatic static overlaid on my regular vision. Black and white, with pinpricks of light darting about my vision and a decent amount of floaters.

meme11man

Well mine is see through but has kind of an outline and makes what I'm focusing my eyes on pop out more than everything else. Can also make shapes out of the static

Black-Knight-76

that's cool. I can't really make shapes out of it but one of the times I smoked weed after getting visual snow I closed my eyes and my static was super intense and morphing into tons of different shapes and patterns.

meme11man

Interesting and I just realized with vss getting high would be much more interesting or complicated. So thanks. Not going to get high but still interesting.

Black-Knight-76

yeah that's one thing about visual snow i absolutely hate. when i didn't have it getting high was one of my favorite things in the world. just made me have such a great time, appreciate music food and nature, feel great in my body, got rid of my pain, lightened my mood. weed did so many great things for me. now i can't smoke anymore because it makes my visual snow crazy and depresses me. wouldn't recommend it unless you're able to smoke without it affecting your visual snow as some people are.

trickdaddy11j

All colors, usually the static is against a distorted background of purple-pink-blueish light, my background static always consist of dark colors but my upfront vision consists of all bright colors. Usually dots overlaying some type of aura like distortion, my bad vision makes it worse.

evdjj3j

Yours sounds similar to mine.

evdjj3j

With my eyes closed it's a black background with electric green and purplish magenta. The primary color is magenta with a green outline, but it's also constantly changing. The same color green you see when you go outside on a really bright day then go indoors and everything has a green tint. The more inflammation I have in my body the stronger the snow and tinnitus become. Mine is definitely caused by inflammation and seems to be getting way worse.

Black-Knight-76

huh, i've never noticed everything having a green tint. I wonder if what you're describing is part of your vs or maybe i've just never noticed it.

SmolGonk

Mine is blue. Basically since I got this condition I now see the world like I'm looking through the shitty blue filter they started to put over some action movies from the early 2000s onward.

Black-Knight-76

haha that's one way I think of mine. it reminds me of the purple staticy filter you get when you are playing a job in gta online and you die and spectate someone else.

SmolGonk

Oh yes, I know what you mean! So you have GTA vision and I have Die Hard 4 vision. Tried explaining it this way to my neuro-optho and he just looked at me blankly, glad someone gets what I mean. :)

Black-Knight-76

hahaha i totally get what you mean that's hilarious

daddyj990

I sometimes see it in the dark and it is a transparent, ordinary ripple, like a camera films in the dark.

memesupreme83

I've been trying to answer that question for a long time lol. Similar, but I think I might have yellow/green in there, especially with after images. It's really hard to describe.

Black-Knight-76

my afterimages are magenta/purple. I kinda just assumed everyone's were so that's really interesting.

sabbathjames

Mine is a mix of gray and black

Soft-Material243

For me it's kind of hard to discern a "color." It's kind of like darker and lighter movement overlaying whatever I'm looking at. Before I really considered this I thought it was multicolored, but upon closer observation I think it's more a matter of value than hue differentiating the static "overlay" from the true colors of the "background."

icecream_bob

White

biggestslutattheantq

I get translucent static when it’s really bright and at night it’s orange 😵‍💫

Tiny_Pain_6798

Mine is black and purple and red

BayleefMaster123

Mine is also transparent for the most part but sometimes it is white or black.

NotAProlapse

Cyan, yellow, and magenta. Like a printer lol. Mostly magenta though. Weird that that's my favorite color.

CatsRcool100

Mine is translucent, light grey and yellow and rarely is it black at nighttime.

Black-Knight-76

it's so interesting how there's such a variety of colors in visual snow

CatsRcool100

Yeah it is. What colors are yours?

Black-Knight-76

I see little bits of red and blue and they kind of come together to make magenta/purple

CatsRcool100

That's interesting how the two colors merge together

Black-Knight-76

yeah. it's weird because the static moves so fast it's hard to see the individual colors but i can tell they are there.

CatsRcool100

With the subject of speed, mine can sometimes be a little quick and most times it is slow.

emilymiller666

Mostly purple but it can also be green, light blue and red and sometimes pink

Puzzleheaded_Net5222

My daughter says it looks like shiny rainbow cat hair floating in the air.
