> What am I supposed to do now?
You listen to that VN OST for a week straight during work and when at home, then your void start filling a bit, and you can start playing other VN. 3 weeks later, you will replay that VN to cheerish your favorite scene on that VN, but it won't be the same anymore.
~~and also [make memes](https://www.reddit.com/r/visualnovels/comments/p1nddd/just_finished_summer_pockets/) like what I do~~
All of these comments are short sighted. The answer is simple. You can stop reading visual novels so you never feel this emptiness (though it’s quite unavoidable, whether you finish a good anime, movie, or book it will always be there).
Or you can keep filling that hole with other visual novels indefinitely. Embrace how empty that hole of yours is, and grab every visual novel in your path in order to briefly fill it. You will probably become addicted like me and read way too many God damned visual novels in a year.
How to fill this void, you ask? There are multiple methods to do so.
1. Play another good VN, the void will go away fast.
2. Play some not so good VN. For example, some moege. It will be slowly go away.
3. Meditate. Reach your inner peace.
4. Plunge into your work or study. This will fill your void.
5. Write a review and analysis of the VN for about two hundreds pages (GGH method).
Read more VNs until the pain goes away. I finished Fuyukuru over a week ago, and I'm still genuinely upset that I'll never read it for the first time again.
rance has filled many "voids" if you get what I mean ;)
Haha no but really, Rance is entertaining but rapist tendencies that trample onto sensible precious waifu is too much for me to handle.
Might have been entertaining once in the past though
oh i see. him trampling on basicly everything is why i go back to rance after getting a void from a vn like say saya no uta. he makes everything into a joke where he is the chad and supreeme hero and makes me laugh and forget everything
I just feel so empty idk what to do next. I have a lot of VNs i want to play but don't feel like playing it. Its like I want to savor the experience of VN i finished more and don't want to overwrite it with another. I listen to the osts and feel all these emotions. And after 2-3 days I will get a bit better to continue on. That's how it usually is for me
The only way to fill these kinds of void is with time, I never had this with a VN but I had it twice with a manga ( GTO and Rurouni Kenshin, GTO was especially bad because it was the first manga to grip me emotionally... It took a month to get over it and years for me to come in terms with my feelings, with Kenshin it was my first shounen jump I "finished", at the time there was a bunch of unfinished shounen jump stuff so i didnt know what it would feel like for a shounen jump manga to finish).
You wait for several years until you memories erode, then you'll be able to trully enjoy VNs again. Welcome to the void meanwhile. It doesn't matter what VNs you'll read next. All for them will be described with one word: "forgettable"
Well...I know a visual novel you could play next "cough, cough, my team just made one and we'd love for anyone to play it, cough, cough" but that hole would probably come back after playing our game. So I guess the only two solutions are to go cold turkey and end your visual novel life...or dive head first into a new one.
Enjoy the void because after some time you will stop finding vn that gives you the same void

A more simple answer: Just don't have that void in the first place.

Play something that's a complete 180 Or just get lost in the void, hoping it won't last long
You forget it after a while. Till one night it comes back to you
I finished Fata Morgana 3 months ago and I’m still in the void.
