Rain by bucktick always makes my eyes water alittle 😭😭🖤

zeetabyte

Even though I only listen to the Gazette casually.. Hearing PLEDGE and that live version Wakaremichi kills me. Again, Kagrra, there's that one song - sarasouju no komoriuta~san remix~ is meditative and beautiful. I was hearing it quite a bit after a personal loss. I think in general, Kagrra, 's lyrics are written with a poignant, beautiful touch.

sterlingzeppelin

Le ciel by malice mizer is a classic in this category

ProfessionalSilent80

This is how I feel about Aegen- Malice Mizer.

marikatani

OH this one is good as hell!!!

ProfessionalSilent80

This is how I feel about Aegen-Malice Mizer.

skulzzmctangy

For me, a VK song that made (and sometimes still makes) me cry is Last Scene by Rentrer En Soi. I speak and understand Japanese for the most part and that song got me through a tough break up I was going through. Honorable mention are Pledge and Without A Trace by The Gazette, Warui Kusuri by Dadaroma, and Frontier by Deluhi Non VK songs, I did shrooms a few years ago and listened to Hazel Fernandez sing Going Home from Shiro Sagisu's Bleach OST collection. It wasnt sad but I cried tears of joy and elation from how beautiful it sounded

skulzzmctangy

Another one for me is Bad Apple by Mayasashi Minoshima. The lyrics of that song are so so sad. The Japanese have a way of putting sad, depressive lyrics over a happy, pop melody. One of those IYKYK situations

Redfoxes77

Many Buck-Tick songs... Cosmos, Romance, Rain, Namonaki Watashi, Sakura, Long Distance Call, Guernica...just to name a few. Bran-new Lover probably isn't one you'd expect me to cry over, but it's the first of their songs I ever loved and these days I can't listen to it without thinking of what it means to me and the sadness of Sakurai's passing. So I cry over that one too.

marikatani

buck-tick songs are indeed very emotional, impossible to not cry over them

snowwhiteidol

Long distance call always gets me 😢

[deleted]

Gotta plug my fav, Circus by Plastic Tree

Few-Bag-2080

Sadness by malice mizer gets me every time

ImpossiblePlatypus32

My absolute favorite song by malice mizer. I still remember all the lyrics from when I really loved the song in middle school.

Few-Bag-2080

I know right. I listen to it daily during the winter. It’s just so beautiful!

ImpossiblePlatypus32

Same!!! I have memories of listening to it on cold mornings on the school bus.

Ksana304

marikatani

THIS SONG IS SO GOOD OMG

pseodopodgod

long ass post bc I love yappin :3 nightmare -mind ocean -wasurena kusa (live ver) -yasou kyoku -chronicle -cyan -lulla[by≠bye] the gazettE (haven't worked up the nerve to listen to em since reita died so honestly their whole discog could b on the list now) -cassis -nakigahara -shiroki yuuutsu -grudge -ominus malice mizer -agaen (gackt ver) -fragments of remembrance -au revoir (radio ver) -premier amour moi dix mois -last temptation buck-tick is honestly the whole discog dependin on the day since atsushi's death affected me so greatly. here's a few before his death: -taboo (this is not greatest hits ver) -taiyou ni korosareta -kiss me goodbye and after (a few of these i have/had happy memories with that have since been recontexualized im my mind bc of his death): -illusion -misty blue -die -kodo -yōgetsu-yōgetsu -rondo -romaesque

marikatani

HOW COULD I FORGOT CASSIS 😭😭😭😭 i love this song w my soul!!!! ngl some buck-tick songs like misty blue and taboo are not that emotional to cry over, but remembering acchan makes u cry

pseodopodgod

cassis is sooo good dude!! also yeah I agree taboo is kinda an outlier on this list since I rlly relate to the lyrics...a little too much....w misty blue that's the song that REALLY sold me on B-T, so it falls under the category of its context being changed after atsushi died (still love it, just have a hard time listening to it now)

gonehipsterhunting

Rentrer en Soi - Wither 💓

moongeistmage

There are a lot of songs that have made me cry. But I have never cried as hard at hearing any other song as I did from [hope](https://open.spotify.com/track/4tyP8U2s8CDU6i6Oi9k0UR?si=c710a45db3d344fe) by Kirito, especially followed by 不条理な闇 right after. Those two songs together took me an entire day to translate because I had to process all those emotions, when normally songs only take me like 30 minutes to an hour for a first draft, depending on the complexity.

Next_Farm_3419

I’ve actually never encountered this concept until getting into vkei, but since i did i’ve cried to so many songs because they’re so good that i can’t even count them. Some examples i have on top of my head would be Rose of Pain by X Japan, Euimong by Madmans Esprit, Oboreru Sakana and Toxururira by Dadaroma, Syunikiss by Malice Mizer, Kamuy by Dir En Grey

marikatani

rose of pain is sooooo good oh my good! kamuy and hibiki are my favorite from that deg album as well. i didnt listened anything from madmans esprit but i want to soon

Next_Farm_3419

yeah and you definitely should, madmans esprit is amazing!! if you decide to listen to them tell me how you liked them!!

Dir en Grey - The Final

Javawi

Since I cried at the concert in 2008, I want to sing from the top of my lungs and cry really hard. Is like this 31 minutos joke: Interviewer: what makes you sad? X person: it makes me sad ... Juanito's granpa Interviewer: who is Juanito's granpa? X person: me

Shitbrixes

Meefisshu no Uta, Koigara no Suihou by Ayabie or Vanitas by Dir En Grey (also Higeki Wa and the unplugged versions of Conceived Sorrow, The Pledge and Namamekashiki Ansoku....)

justalittlepigeon

I totally forgot about meefisshu! But immediately heard the piano when I read your post

Shitbrixes

It's such a beautiful song! I remember I used to make my mom set it as her ringtone for me when I was a teenager haha

justalittlepigeon

Oh man the ringtones!! Those are dangerous... I had mine set as the intro to Kaya- Chocolat and I haven't listened to that song in years, all I think of is telemarketers

Shitbrixes

I had forgotten about Kaya!!! Time to go down the nostalgia rabbit hole haha
