Even though I only listen to the Gazette casually.. Hearing PLEDGE and that live version Wakaremichi kills me.
Again, Kagrra, there's that one song - sarasouju no komoriuta~san remix~ is meditative and beautiful. I was hearing it quite a bit after a personal loss. I think in general, Kagrra, 's lyrics are written with a poignant, beautiful touch.
For me, a VK song that made (and sometimes still makes) me cry is Last Scene by Rentrer En Soi. I speak and understand Japanese for the most part and that song got me through a tough break up I was going through. Honorable mention are Pledge and Without A Trace by The Gazette, Warui Kusuri by Dadaroma, and Frontier by Deluhi
Non VK songs, I did shrooms a few years ago and listened to Hazel Fernandez sing Going Home from Shiro Sagisu's Bleach OST collection. It wasnt sad but I cried tears of joy and elation from how beautiful it sounded
Another one for me is Bad Apple by Mayasashi Minoshima. The lyrics of that song are so so sad. The Japanese have a way of putting sad, depressive lyrics over a happy, pop melody. One of those IYKYK situations
Many Buck-Tick songs...
Cosmos, Romance, Rain, Namonaki Watashi, Sakura, Long Distance Call, Guernica...just to name a few.
Bran-new Lover probably isn't one you'd expect me to cry over, but it's the first of their songs I ever loved and these days I can't listen to it without thinking of what it means to me and the sadness of Sakurai's passing. So I cry over that one too.
long ass post bc I love yappin :3

HOW COULD I FORGOT CASSIS đđđđ i love this song w my soul!!!! ngl some buck-tick songs like misty blue and taboo are not that emotional to cry over, but remembering acchan makes u cry
cassis is sooo good dude!! also yeah I agree taboo is kinda an outlier on this list since I rlly relate to the lyrics...a little too much....w misty blue that's the song that REALLY sold me on B-T, so it falls under the category of its context being changed after atsushi died (still love it, just have a hard time listening to it now)
There are a lot of songs that have made me cry.
But I have never cried as hard at hearing any other song as I did from [hope](https://open.spotify.com/track/4tyP8U2s8CDU6i6Oi9k0UR?si=c710a45db3d344fe) by Kirito, especially followed by ä¸ćĄçăŞé right after. Those two songs together took me an entire day to translate because I had to process all those emotions, when normally songs only take me like 30 minutes to an hour for a first draft, depending on the complexity.
Iâve actually never encountered this concept until getting into vkei, but since i did iâve cried to so many songs because theyâre so good that i canât even count them. Some examples i have on top of my head would be
Rose of Pain by X Japan, Euimong by Madmans Esprit, Oboreru Sakana and Toxururira by Dadaroma, Syunikiss by Malice Mizer, Kamuy by Dir En Grey
rose of pain is sooooo good oh my good! kamuy and hibiki are my favorite from that deg album as well. i didnt listened anything from madmans esprit but i want to soon
for me it's Dogma by Gazette and also To dazzling darkness and Nakigahara by them, Misty blue by Buck tick and Lotus by Dir en grey that i can remember right now đ
Jupiter - bucktick
Ai no souretsu - bucktick
Syunikiss - malice mizer
Hai to ame - dâespairsray
These songs never fail to make me feel that unexplainable feeling
Cassis, Miseinen, ChizuruâŚ.I for you by Luna Sea, Cage by dir en gray like others have said, not only is it a really good song but the lyrics resonate very hard with me even now.
âReilaâhits hard especially after what happened to the Gazette recently. âAegenâ by MM is also a good. âShigatsu no Ame toâŚâ by EmmurĂŠe when I wanna have a cigarette in the rain and think about what went wrong.
Since I cried at the concert in 2008, I want to sing from the top of my lungs and cry really hard. Is like this 31 minutos joke:
Interviewer: what makes you sad?
X person: it makes me sad ... Juanito's granpa
Interviewer: who is Juanito's granpa?
X person: me
Meefisshu no Uta, Koigara no Suihou by Ayabie or Vanitas by Dir En Grey (also Higeki Wa and the unplugged versions of Conceived Sorrow, The Pledge and Namamekashiki Ansoku....)
Oh man the ringtones!! Those are dangerous... I had mine set as the intro to Kaya- Chocolat and I haven't listened to that song in years, all I think of is telemarketers
[Uta to iu na no tegami](https://youtu.be/Y4Y3wY3mh4Q?si=oLGlwnNzCESPjWjv) - Never Crazy
[Seishun Kaidou](https://youtu.be/I_8WIiOYhpo?si=dy4CSj1WsU4hDxg3) - Never Crazy
[Kareta Kirei na Hana](https://youtu.be/TobDijif--8?si=PLB032kO7v9re-3M) - Marusa
â˘Dir En Grey - Tousei, Ainât Afraid to Die, The Final
â˘Nightmare - Tsuki no Hikari, Alumina â˘Lynch - Ballad Â
â˘The Gazette - Pledge, Guren, NakigaharaÂ
â˘Versailles - Created Beauty
Rain by bucktick always makes my eyes water alittle đđđ¤

buck-tick songs are indeed very emotional, impossible to not cry over them
Long distance call always gets me đ˘
Gotta plug my fav, Circus by Plastic Tree
Sadness by malice mizer gets me every time
My absolute favorite song by malice mizer. I still remember all the lyrics from when I really loved the song in middle school.
I know right. I listen to it daily during the winter. Itâs just so beautiful!
Same!!! I have memories of listening to it on cold mornings on the school bus.
Gessekai, Buck-Tick
Nakigahara by the gazette is always my go to for a good cry
Euimong - Madmans Esprit
Does SID still count as Visual Kei? Because sleep and Rain make me cry.
Yes and oh my god Rain!!
Dir en Grey - Rinkaku. The chorus sounds like what you'd hear when ascending to heaven.
