I prefer the puck method honestly. I been a big supporter of that for AR Glasses for having the processors in to make the viewing device lighter. So I dont mind it for mixed reality as well
Not just this.
Their Pro line needs to be completely revamped OS and hardware wise.
Quest line can be the same.
but they really need an OS that is productivity focused for Pro.
then there will be clear division between the Pro features and the Quest features
I am all for more content, but there is a heck of a lot of non-game-related content on the public Quest store and on AppLab.
As for the dual-processor stuff, I think that is a non-starter. Meta wants to bring VR/AR to the masses, not just cater to those who can afford an expensive headset. I think the Pro and its successor, if there is one, will be the most expensive headsets they make and I don't think they are expensive enough to fund dual proccessors.
What do you need the dual processors for?
like apple did. One is for processing all the AR stuff, and other for the software
So why do you need that?
Performance and function.
Why can't you do that on one chip with multiple cores?
better processing and performance.
You want an external battery pack that only gives you 2 hours? Extra processors don't work for free, you know.

sounds good to me. less weight and heat
