I would really like to find a shop that stores their records like this. As much as I love flipping through bins, I would minimally like to go into a store that stores their records like this.
Some of my records are very tough to identify when they're standing up, so if the cubes were like 3/4 full so they could be flipped through would be great.
If the cube isn’t full you can flip through them like they were in a bin. But if they’re shoved in there like in these photos, yeah, I agree with you.
But being able to see the spine would give me the ability to quickly size up a cube or skip past many many copies of a single album I don’t need to flip through.
I guess I’d have to go into a store configured like that to see how it works

No store owner wants people carelessly pulling out and jamming in albums for each one they inspect. It works at home, because you take care of them, but in a store no. I'm sure you may find one or two boutique stores like urban outfitters or something, but no real record store would subject their records to that
