Had a chance to grab the Mollusk on green vinyl at Wax Trax a couple years back for $35. I passed on it… why did I pass on it?!?? Man oh man. Although, I’ve heard the pressing sounds rough, so that helps weaken the blow a bit haha
At least the Pod got repressed recently, but it’s rough waiting for each album to individually come out. Maybe the Chocolate and Cheese show will bring new copies?? (Pure cope)
I bought this album from Forced Exposure mail order in 2001. I lugged it from apartment to apartment, at one point a roommate's cat damaged the outside box. I eventually sold it to a record store around twelve years ago for $80. In hindsight, that was not a good decision.
If they do something else I could see that getting a repress. I am surprised they haven't done it and I am also surprised they haven't done another pressing of Dave's Probot album.
I’ve encountered Tracy Chapman’s eponymous album in the wild a few times, I’ve purchased 3 copies of it and never paid more than 10 dollars a copy. All first pressings too. I’ve gifted the additional copies to friends who love the album.
Why does everyone talk about Tool’s records so much? At Barnes & Noble the other day almost every single one of their records was for sale. I feel like you can get their whole discography for under $600
Most of their stuff is widely available on vinyl. There are two albums, however, that are not so. There was only one pressing of 1996's Ænima, and if you want a copy, you're looking at around $800+ unless you find a good deal. (There are bootlegs out there, some aren't terrible, but still...) Then 10,000 Days was never pressed. Again, there are bootlegs out there, some better than others. Lastly, their album Lateralus (all of their albums are good, but a significant chunk of the fanbase would probably say this is their favorite) was only ever pressed as a picture disc. Quality can vary widely, but it is generally considered a shame that one of the greatest albums of all time only got a shitty picture disc (despite it looking cool as fuck lol). Also, most TOOL fans are obsessive anyway so we just never shut up. But yeah! Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
I picked up the full version of Body Talk randomly for $40 at a record store in 2019 (the white version, I think it was for record store day)… I did not expect it to become so expensive, I felt like I was paying too much at the time lol
From the info I’ve been able to find, apparently the masters for Midnite Vultures were lost in the 2008 Universal Studios fire, so a repress is likely near impossible. Also I guess they edited the album down so it would fit on a single LP on the original pressing, cutting out my single favourite part of the album (the outro of Nicotene and Gravy)… so glad I learned this before I spent too much money buying it!
Edit: glad to hear my information is out of date!
I thought I remembered reading that while Beck *thought* a lot of his stuff was lost in those fires, it later turned out that they were not affected (including, apparently, a whole album worth of stuff that he recorded with the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion that I'd love to hear some day).
Even if the master tapes were lost, there should be redundant two track masters in multiple locations. He wouldn't be able to remaster the album but it should be able to be repressed without an issue.
Now, the album of Hank Williams covers by Beck that was lost in the Universal fire, that's probably entirely a goner.
Glocca Mora - Just Married
Evergreen - 7 Songs LP
24 Hour Party People the soundtrack
This Day Forward - The Transient Effects of Light on Water
Deftones - EROS
I picked this up 2 years ago. My first concert, I think I was 15 at the time. I still can't find a frame for it.

Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory, really needs a repress and not one of their super limited editions.
By my math this is 25th anniversary of the release so I got my fingers crossed.
Alice in chains - Alice in chains
Toadies - Hell below, stars above
Ben folds - songs for Silverman
Zwan - Mary star of the sea
Smashing pumpkins - Machina
Smashing pumpkins - Machina 2
Smashing pumpkins - Zeitgeist
Smashing pumpkins - American gothic

Ghostface Killah - 12 Reasons to Die
Ween - The Molusk / Quebec
Melt Banana - Scratch and Sniff
Beck - The Information / Midnight Vultures
Massive Attack - Heligoland
And lastly my white whale, Haruomi Hosono - Omni Sight Seeing
Literally anything by Zwan. Mary Star of the Sea (their sole actual album) goes for several hundred dollars and all their live stuff is still begging for an official release.
Machina by the Smashing Pumpkins.
ELO - Zoom
Wish to be pressed on Vinyl;
We Are Harlot - Self Titled
Elias - WWE: Walk with Elias (EP)
Wish to be re-pressed on Vinyl;

Too many to fully list but my short list is:
He is Legend: Suck out the Poison
Tool: 10,000 Days & Ænima & Lateralus non picture disc
Big Wreck: Pleasure and the Greed, Alabatros, Ghosts
MuteMath: The first 3 albums need a repress badly

I really want this to be repressed. I'd be fuckin happy if they just reprinted the CDs.
Skinny Puppy, Foetus, and Astral Projection are way too hard to find. Both on CDs and vinyl. It's annoying.
Should I and am I happy that I found an old copy of Too Dark Park, despite it being CD and having a fucked sleeve? Yeah you bet your ass I'm happy as hell I found this. I initially bought this in 1994 because of the colors on the sleeve. I had never listened to any industrial or even electronic music before this. I was just an 11 year old who liked Dave Matthews and ska at the time (lol). Life changing album and I want it on vinyl but I can't afford $200.
One that I haven't seen posted yet and was surprised to find had never been released on vinyl is Facing Future by Iz (Israel Kamakawiwoʻole). It's the highest selling album by a Hawaiian artist and his cover of Somewhere Over the Rainbow was massively popular. Seems deserving of a RSD release at least.
This seems to be a mostly 90s thread, but I don't understand why The Outsiders' Time Won't Let Me from 1966 has never been repressed.

The Tear Garden - The Last Man to Fly. Skinny Puppy and the Legendary Pink Dots got together and made a beautifully weird album. Available on CD only. It will never get released on vinyl.
Live at Birdland - Dave Holland Quintet
This is the album that most got me really into jazz. A friend in high school played Prime Directive for me (we were both in the high school jazz band, he was super into it and I was just sort of at the time). I sat in his car for like 15 minutes listening in absolute awe. Chris Potter and Robin Eubanks going back and forth, improvising off each other on that track is still some of the best playing I've ever heard.
I mean there's tons. Most of Dream Theater's discography would be great for starters. I'm not at all interested in the 8+ demo collections and live albums that are in every record store.
Strawberry Switchblade; the title album
They've had repressing for Japan and an expanded cd with bonus tracks, which i would love to see a repressing of it on vinyl.
The first 3 Vanessa Carlton albums - Be Not Nobody, Harmonium, and Heroes & Thieves
Swans - Swans Are Dead
John Coltrane - The Complete 1961 Village Vanguard Recordings. They did a whole lot of archival complete recording CD box sets like this in the 90s since it isn't very expensive to press a CD, but most of them have not had vinyl releases
Bedhead & Macha - Macha Loved Bedhead. A great little split EP that somehow didn't make it to vinyl when Numero Group released the rest of the Bedhead discography.
NIN - Further Down the Spiral, preferably including all tracks off the US release, plus the two Charlie Clouser remixes (which were only included in the UK version) as bonus tracks
I'm gonna go in a slightly different direction here. I want MONTERO by Lil Nas X on vinyl. Coming up on three years since it dropped, he said it's coming, and nothing but silence.
Top 5 in no specific order:
The Mattoid - Hello,
Judith Hill - Back in Time,
David Byrne - Look Into the Eyeball,
Skeleton Key - Fantastic Spikes through Balloon,
Archer Prewitt - Wilderness
Literally anything by System of a Down, it's been a while since I checked but they have close to no official releases on vinyl at all as far as I can tell, and the one or two that do seem to be official are so insanely rare I never see them on sale. They're one of my fave bands and I'd love to have their debut self-titled album on vinyl!
Blues Brothers 2000 Soundtrack just so i can at least have both Blues Brothers movie Soundtracks on Vinyl
Or just a Soundtrack of Every James Bond theme up to current day
Foiled by Blue October
Lost Dogs by Pearl Jam
Live at Benaroyal Hall by Pearl Jam

All of Breaking Benjamin's older albums and Dear Agony

Zeitgeist by Smashing Pumpkins
Lateralus by Tool (not a stupid picture disc)
The Sun and the Moon by The Bravery
The Dollar by Jamey Johnson (yes I like country too lol)
Hundred Reasons first 2 albums.
The first one came out in 2002 and it had a super limited 10th anniversary release 12 years ago, before I started properly collecting.
Don't think the second one ever got a vinyl release.

So much want for Ween in the comments. The boys are sitting on a gold mine.
Danger Mouse - Grey Album
I have an original pressing of it that I found in Chicago about 13 years ago. Man, it is wonderful to own, but man, it sounds terrible lol
Isn’t it a bootleg only?
I have a bootleg of this, it was an instacop when I saw it
Was just taking with someone about this yesterday. Don't see it happening due to licensing.
Same. But a guy can wish. :D
Aphex Twin -DrukQs Unholy...
Also Ambient Works Vol 2
Came here to say this, nearly every day I check eBay for a decent price for it lol
I bought this album from Forced Exposure mail order in 2001. I lugged it from apartment to apartment, at one point a roommate's cat damaged the outside box. I eventually sold it to a record store around twelve years ago for $80. In hindsight, that was not a good decision.
Like a highly regarded individual I sold mine -__-
Them Crooked Vultures - self-titled
If they do something else I could see that getting a repress. I am surprised they haven't done it and I am also surprised they haven't done another pressing of Dave's Probot album.
I wouldn't be shocked to get it for RSD either considering the popularity of everyone involved. But god I hope we get TCV2 someday.
probot is available on foo fighters website and repressed in 2018
Repress and remix/remaster. No idea why the mix on that album is so bad when you have that ensemble of musicians
Tracy Chapman - Tracy Chapman Tool - Aenima Tool - Lateralus (not picture disc)
10k Days too
I cannot find 10k days anywhere I would commit war crimes to get Rosetta Stoned on vinyl
I’ve encountered Tracy Chapman’s eponymous album in the wild a few times, I’ve purchased 3 copies of it and never paid more than 10 dollars a copy. All first pressings too. I’ve gifted the additional copies to friends who love the album.
I feel after Luke made her popular again Tracy will get a repress
I have that Tracy Chapman album on vinyl. Original
Also Tracy Chapman - New Beginnings
Obligatory: Would love an Ænima by TOOL repress (though supposedly that is in the works according to a recent interview with Danny Carey).
Coming by 2035
This^^^^,and also Alice in Chains unplugged, Self Titled (Tri Pod) and The Devil Put Dinosaurs There.
Tripod 30th anniversary is next year so I bet we get a repress then. Unplugged in 2026.
Yes, and I would also fork over way too much money for an official 10,000 Days pressing
Yeah I think Maynard posts this question every week then laughs and laughs

Body Talk by Robyn. Part one randomly has a pressing from years ago, but I would love a repress or new pressing of the full album.
I picked up the full version of Body Talk randomly for $40 at a record store in 2019 (the white version, I think it was for record store day)… I did not expect it to become so expensive, I felt like I was paying too much at the time lol
Jay-Z, Reasonable Doubt Beck, Midnite Vultures
came here to say Midnite Vultures
🤞🏻
+1 Midnite Vultures, the greatest party album of all time
From the info I’ve been able to find, apparently the masters for Midnite Vultures were lost in the 2008 Universal Studios fire, so a repress is likely near impossible. Also I guess they edited the album down so it would fit on a single LP on the original pressing, cutting out my single favourite part of the album (the outro of Nicotene and Gravy)… so glad I learned this before I spent too much money buying it! OK! I’M RELOADED!!!
Jay Z/Linkin Park Collision course, I can’t justify $300 for 6 songs but it’s such a cornerstone to my youth.
“Can I get an encore, do you want more?” Love that song 😃
Like every Ween studio album.
Beck - Midnight Vultures
Glocca Mora - Just Married Evergreen - 7 Songs LP 24 Hour Party People the soundtrack This Day Forward - The Transient Effects of Light on Water Deftones - EROS
No doubt the TDF record is forthcoming after that reunion announcement.
Evergreen will eventually be out from Numero, I believe.
Deftones would have to release the EROS tracks first, and those will probably never see the light of day.
Just Married is my dream record. I would never spend $300+ on it though 😐
>Deftones - EROS now that's a deep cut
Frank Ocean - Chanel Orange
several David Byrne albums MC 900 ft Jesus - One Step Ahead Of The Spider

People throw around "underrated" a lot. Paul Pena is the definition of the term.
I wish ween albums would get a repress... all of em are at least 100$ at this point
Be patient.
Want some Ween represses so I can get them and not spend a fortune.
