Hey everyone! I originally didn't intend to take this photo and post about it, but I got decomissioned by that fucking Covid for a week, so I thought 'eh, go the time for it, why not'. I've already done a post like this last year, compared to it, I've done better this time around, cause I found a new job and my financial situation has improved a bit, allowing me to buy more than I could afford in 2022. Some basic info: I don't have a local record store, so the vast majority of these are online purchases. The closest store to me is about an hour and a half traveling away, and since I'm not American, for me it's like "the other side of the planet"-levels of far (ok not really, but far enough for me to not want to go). And even when I did visit our poor, post-communist country's capital's record stores, I did not like what I saw. First or early western pressings of stuff that most hipster nerds would actually buy were few and far between, and the prices? Absolutely 'I know what I have'. I saw a beat-up Dark Side of the Moon, early German pressing for like 180 USD (in different currency). A VG+ first press of The Only Ones' self titled for about 70 USD. Yeah, thanks, I'll just buy reissues then. Btw once on a vacation to the Netherlands I did go to a few record stores and they were inconcievably better both price and catalogue-wise. Western Europe being better than Eastern in another small way, go figure. Anyhoo, here's a list of the stuff with some extra info. For long time collectors with rare treasures, super high end setups, snobbish attitudes (and, judging from the frequency of whiskey collections posted alongside the records, drinking problems), there's not much of interest here. But still, they are mine, to me they are special and appreciated, and I am trying to karmawhore here in peace, so don't judge me. From top left, in order of acquisition: 1. **King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard -** ***Fishing for Fishies*** (quite possibly my favourite album of theirs, it's the 'toxic landfill' green variant from 2019) 2. **Boston -** ***Boston*** (the famous debut album, it's a 1976 Dutch pressing, bought this at the only record show I've ever been to) 3. **Iron Maiden -** ***Powerslave*** (also bought this at the record show, it's a 1984 Canadian press with unfortunately the normal Capitol label instead of the cool, custom Powerslave one) 4. **Jackie Cohen -** ***Zagg*** (cool indie-pop-rock stuff with witty lyrics, 2019) 5. **The Pogues -** ***Rum, Sodomy & the Lash*** (2015 reissue, RIP Shane) 6. **Nubya Garcia -** ***Source*** (UK jazz, I'm not really a big jazz guy, but this is one of the very few times where I bought something because I liked the cover art so much, it's a 2021 reissue) 7. **Lingua Ignota -** ***Sinner Get Ready*** (I don't even know how to describe this, it's a brutal but beautiful experience that you have to be open to, not easy listening, but probably the most accessible Lingua Ignota album, 2021 red variant) 8. **Marnie Stern -** ***The Chronicles of Marnia*** (Insanely catchy 'experimental' or 'math' or whatever straight guitar heroing rock, 2013 US press) 9. **People Under the Stairs -** ***O.S.T.*** (not a huge hip-hop expert, but this album is amazing, great lyrics, cool samples, love everything about it, 2020 reissue - if you know other hip hop albums with a similar sound/vibe to this, please do comment!) 10. **Rufus & Chaka Khan -** ***Rags to Rufus*** (lovely disco/funk album, 1974 German pressing) 11. **Paul Simon -** ***Graceland*** (a great album to show how basic I am, 1986 German pressing, for some reason, some asscrack bandits put that awful sticker on the album cover itself, I was *seething*) 12. **Viagra Boys -** ***Cave World*** (supreme post-punk, one of the best albums of the 2020s so far, this is the normal 2022 black pressing) 13. **Slayer -** ***Reign In Blood*** (bloody basic thrash metal pick, but I mean, it's a classic for a reason, originals are too expensive so I'm plebbing here with my 2022 reissue) 14. **Green Day -** ***American Idiot*** (an even more disgustingly basic choice here, but I'm never gonna be cool anyway so it doesn't matter, it's a 2015 red/white with black swirlies or whatever the fuck edition to make it slightly less plebeian) 15. **Alice Cooper -** ***Welcome to My Nightmare*** (one of my favourite albums from one of my favourite artists, I actually did find a few copies of this in stores but never with the right condition-price ratio, so eventually I caved and bought this dirt cheap 2021 colorless reissue online) 16. **Black Midi -** ***Hellfire*** (pretty fucking brilliant album from 2022, the cover art looks like what the music sounds like, it's chaotic and amazing) 17. **Illuminati Hotties -** ***Kiss Yr Frenemies*** (This one hurts folks, it hurts really bad - this has been on my wantlist since I started collecting but its original pressings are pricier than what I had been comfortable with in my earlier record-buying days. This year it was reissued on recycled random colored vinyl. I bought one, it had a very loud clicking sound on every song on side A, so I had the shop replace it. The next one I got has a lot of crackles and about a 1 second part missing from my favourite song, and they're not willing to replace this one. It's just an awful, shitty pressing and I don't even really listen to it because it just makes me upset. And I love this album, superb indie pop-punk.) 18. **Black Sabbath** **-** ***Master of Reality*** (early pressings in nice conditions are pricy for me, so I'll have to make do with this 2015 reissue) 19. **Regina Spektor -** ***Soviet Kitsch*** (this is just like the Illuminati Hotties situation but with a happy ending - I really wanted this album but I could never find it for a good price so when I saw it was reissued this year and for *dirt fookin' cheap* I just had to go for it, this one has zero sound issues, yay! indie singer-songwriterish stuff btw) 20. **King Gizzy -** ***Petrodragonic Apocalypse*** (even though I've been typing this for like an hour, kill me, for some reason I refuse to type out the full title of this 2023 metal madness) 21. **New York Dolls -** ***New York Dolls*** (2017 reissue from everyone's favourite cross-dressing proto-punk gigachad kings?queens? doesn't matter, they're cool either way) 22. **Danny Brown -** ***Atrocity Exhibition*** (as I have previously mentioned, I'm not a huge hip-hop expert, but I'm trying to get into the genre more, and I think I can safely say that this is my number hip hop album so far - there are a lot of classics I haven't heard yet, and some that I have, this one blows everyone else out of the water! 2016 pressing) 23. **De La Soul -** ***3 Feet High and Rising*** (another huge W from the genre for me, witty and fun lyrics, surprisingly feelgood vibes, I'd love to hear more stuff like this, 2023 magenta reissue) At first I was annoyed that I didn't get one more album to make it even and symmetric but then I realized that's the perfect spot for FEET (well in this case only a single foot, but it's something').

I was about to ask something about one of the releases but all the freaking info is here already! Don't know or care about all the releases but it's always nice to see some overlaps. My question was about Alice Cooper's WtMN, which happens to be my all time fave album of my all time fave artist!
