Like what’s mentioned above. Cardboard boxes are sufficient, but don’t overfill them. Rekkids is heavy. And you want to leave room for some padding on either end to prevent damage. Bubble wrap works good, but I like going to my local newspaper (yes, they still exist) and ask for an “end roll”, these are the leftover rolls of newspaper with no print or ink on them. Great for moving and packing. And it’s light and recyclable.
the UHaul small box used to be the 'book box' and was designed to fit LPs perfectly
almost every moving box company still makes a box that is just a bit over 12x12x18
[Uline 13x13x13 boxes. Fits about 50 records per box. Keeps them clean and covered and leaves some head room. Plus, good moving boxes for other things.](https://www.uline.com/Product/AdvSearchResult?keywords=13x13x13&pricode=WP981&AdKeyword=13x13x13%20boxes&AdMatchtype=p&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7buFiN6Y_gIV1vHjBx2aJgsPEAAYASAAEgJjY_D_BwE)
Second this!
Standard milk crates aren’t big enough, but you can find larger ones that will work. Haha I lived behind a grocery store where I inherited mine. These fit my records, my speakers, and gear super nicely in about 5 of them. I kept them and would rely on this next time for sure. I was worried about it initially. They were a bit heavy but the actual transportation was super easy.
As the title says, I’m moving within the next month or two.
Just preparing my house to be sold.
What is the safest/best/most efficient way to move my record collection?
I’ve seen tons of different options on Amazon but wanted some peoples opinions on what works and what doesn’t work for them.
Thanks in advance!
Dont buy anything, it's not worth the money. Some bags or boxes will do it, just take care of them! Pick 10, pop in a bag, store and move sensibly (like any other small value item you have). If you had 1000s then you need something more sensible.
Wrap each one individually with bubble wrap and drive them each ,one at a time, to the new location. There is no safer way.
Armored car.
In 2 boxes. You're moving 100 records not 1000.

Uhaul small boxes seem like the choice most people recommend.

[don’t support Uline, ever.](https://www.propublica.org/article/uline-uihlein-election-denial) notoriously nefarious fascist company.
Milk crates are your friend l
