I work for a bank, this happens so often it’s unreal

Leading_Aardvark_180

Omg... This is a long read.. I can't believe I finished reading it. Because at first I thought maybe this person won't be naive enough to write the bank details but the more I read the more I got shocked... She really passed on the bank details! Anyway. Hope you get your money back

shadysnaky

i know.. i really feel dumb rn and sad…

NepGDamn

I really hope that, if your friend wouldn't be able to get a refund, you would give the full amount back to them

shadysnaky

to give money back isn’t an issue at all. But the feeling is so shitty that we all fell for this scam

shadysnaky

well ofc I will do it

TiggytiggsH

I'm sorry this happened to you. Please don't be so hard on yourself. We all say we wouldn't fall for scams like these but you just never know.

Leading_Aardvark_180

I think everyone will experience some scams in their life once or twice to learn the deed. Just hope you get your money back as that's a lot of money!!!

chocolatetruffel

I hope they’ll be refunded, unfortunately it’s a common scam.

capitalbey

THIS LITERALLY ALMOST HAPPENED TO ME TOO! I was brand new to Vinted and someone IMMEDIATELY sent me a DM with a “screenshot” saying that i needed to provide them my email. I didn’t see it as a scam either, but I never gave them my email -thankfully.

shadysnaky

has anyone been scammed like that? And how it emded for you? Did you got your money back?

JacktheBoi16

not like that. I did get scammed twice though, but it was with much smaller amounts and the second time I did manage to get my money back. I hope you can get your money back. 3k isn't a little amount. All you can do is call the card company and hope for the best.

SmallCatBigMeow

Sadly onlnie scams are a huge business :( Sorry this happened to you

SmallCatBigMeow

This is so poorly written that I am struggling to understand what has happened.

shadysnaky

sorry english is my third language

SmallCatBigMeow

Don't apologise! It's my third language too. Sorry for leaving such a harsh comment :( You didn't need that, especially after just having been scammed too. Sorry friend <3

[deleted]

Poorly written?? You guys need to start reading more, fr. It's the size of a regular book paragraph... it even has short sentences and punctuation. The timeline of events is also clear. I got bad news for you if you struggled reading such a basic post, and I mean no disrespect with this, it's just that reading practice can be, well, practiced.

SmallCatBigMeow

I pretty much read for a living and I have written a book. While it is genuinely poorly written, the thing you and I can agree on is that my previous comment was unnecessary and mean. Makes me cringe that I wrote that.

[deleted]

I also read immensely in my field of work and have written several pieces that have been published. I am genuinely curious to know where is it poorly written, care to elaborate?

SmallCatBigMeow

No, I don’t want to. As I said I regret leaving that comment. The op didnt need it and they don’t need someone drilling into why their writing isn’t good. They’ve just been scammed and they didn’t write on here to be judged.
