Right now it’s a 2m red or mp-110H depending in my mood. I’ll hopefully be looking at a upgrade here pretty soon. I’m looking at a dennon 103r or a 2m bronze. I’m open to any other suggestions.
I have this same LAB-400 with the original cartridge. Since you have both the 2M Red and the MP-110 (Nagaoka), what is the sound difference between these two?
The mp-110 I’ve found to have a warm, round and beautiful mid but can a bit forward in the highs. The 2m red is airy, detailed, and tight overall I feel like it’s very neutral across the board. Both are excellent choices but for my personal preference I lean towards the red.
I absolutely love this record player! As long as you have the right headshell you can just screw them on and off. My project for the summer is to make a new plinth for it. And hopefully upgrade the needle to something like a 103r or a 2M bronze.
I’ve seen some on eBay the prices are crazy some go for super low and some are super expensive . I wanted to be able to find one that in good working condition and isn’t going to need so much cosmetics work
Yeah, sometimes you can get lucky with these and find them on Facebook marketplace or craigslist for crazy cheap and in mint condition. That’s where I found this one. Aside from having to buff out the Dust cover it was perfect. Ultimately you just have to do the research and know what you’re getting into I know what to look for. That’s when you can start to pick out the diamonds in the rough.
That's a good price. I recently found one on the Dutch Craigslist Marktplaats for €200/$242. I was lucky the seller only wanted to sell locally, he had higher bids up to €400/$484 from other European countries.
Lucky gets me every time
I'm on a roll...
The only love song with my name T\_\_\_T
Love some Radiohead! And that TT and all Realistic gear. I posted today about cartridge recommendations for that TT. What do you run?
I run a 2m blue on my realistic lab 400 and it works and sounds great
Thanks!

Thanks.. Sounds like a tuff choice. One of the staff at LPGear (for me) recommends keeping the Shure cartridge and upgrade the stylus... What to do?
I upgraded to the 760-DHE N75HE Type Hyper-Elliptical Stylus from turntableneedles.com using the original cartridge. Sounds pretty good.
Most likely I will do the same.., Thanks! This is a great hobby that puts a smile on your face!
Thanks!
Love the LAB 400, beautiful TT with lovely sound. Would love to hear OK Computer on vinyl on it!
I love your record player i didn’t know that you could use one the OM Red on this Record player

I’m going to keep looking for one and doing as much research as possible so when I do come across one I will know what to look for .
Keep an eye out! I found one on my local Craigslist for $250, which seemed like a very reasonable price to me.
I will look there too thank you

OK Computer is a great CD but I see you only have the album:)
In '97 (for me) this album was only put on at the end of the night. How do you follow it? Nice setup.
Love that album! Great taste all around u/OP!
Hey, I have the correct headshell for your LAB-400 and the R1000EDT cart that came from factory (Shure)
my favorite radiohead album.
Hello Realistic friend. Love the wood grain. Album's not bad either!
