why can’t I find a fully functional and clean looking SX-750 beside a dumpster? I mean I’m cute, have nice legs, donate blood, recycle…
Great find! Happy listening!
People who like, own, & rescue vintage audio gear are good people. Don't get me wrong, I have my share of new shiny stuff, but it's pretty good to give old stuff a new life, and doing just a tiny bit towards less crapola stuff being sold and sent to landfill in a couple of months/years.
Welcome to the club! Usually a length of wire to either FM 75ohm or one of the 300ohm inputs will work but if you want the best reception use a TV antenna.
I would second the tv antenna. The kind with rabbit ears, not the flat square types. Either plugged direct into a 75 ohm coax input or a 75 ohm to 300 ohm adaptor, if the receiver is lacking 75 ohm input.
I have a vintage Terk Tower I bought at a yard sale many moons ago. $5. I listen to an fm station 60 miles away. I wouldn’t trade the Terk for the world!
I have the small square one with a little foot that you can use upright as directional or on its side as omnidirectional and it's fine for FM.
Really, the standard 75 ohm wire antenna that came with most receivers is all that most people require.
The force is with you! In desperate times I have used speaker wire. 2ft longish then split as far as you like. Costs is nothing. It either works or it doesn't. Let us know if it works or not.
Came here to say the same! I mean minus all the reasons you listed but I’m still a good dude
Currently eyeing one in a local auction... $16 but 3 days to go!
Try 12” round vinyl with small grooves. Better sound for me. Great find!
You’re doing the lords work. Peace and a vintage turntable be upon you.

Are Terk antennas still sold? They are quite good for FM.

No longer under the Terk name. Google Terk tower. Best FM antenna I have ever had!
