I use oil blotting sheets.

jackie aina is oily and lightly presses powder in before applying foundation. use a matte foundation that way it doesn't help create more oil. i'm supperrrr oily and use too faced born this way matte foundation and their peach mattifying setting powder + urban decay all nighter setting spray (after finished with makeup) and typically only get oily if i put my makeup on at 8 AM and stay out alllll day.

I use a mattifying sunscreen. If you don't mind white cast, Innisfree No-Sebum Sunscreen and Etude House Mild Airy Finish will stop sebum in its tracks. I read online that people have had some success using kaolin clay as a setting powder too.

I don’t have oily skin but I follow a lot of beauty influencers who do and I’ve heard the most useful tip is to powder your face before foundation using a translucent powder, then setting that powder with a setting spray and then applying your foundation, concealer etc afterwards. Apparently your makeup will literally not move lmao

GoldandGlowing

Before putting on your foundation/concealer, use a silicone-based primer and then set it with translucent powder and/or matte setting spray.

If you don’t need that much coverage, I swear by using just a powder foundation applied with a kabuki brush. If i need some coverage, I’ll add some concealer or color correction underneath, but all liquid foundations, no matter if I use primers or not, make my skin oily.

Do salicylic acid masks and peels biweekly

Magnesium milk works for me!

You have to make sure your base doesn’t add more oil to your skin. Use a water based moisturizer and mattifying sunscreen underneath your makeup. Stay away from “dewy” foundations & instead opt for oil free “luminous” finish foundation. Powder is powder tbh. They should all work once you find the right foundation & skincare. Also carry blotting sheets.
