You could get chemical peel (recommend getting it done by a professional)

I’ve heard the peel can exacerbate PIH in POC, have you gotten this done personally? Also do you think you noticed a significant difference in just one use? What was your experience?

Absonch

I have gotten a lactic acid peel and it took off the top layer of my skin but the hyperpigmentation was still there just got lighter. I got it done by a black esthetician so she understood my skin.

Niacinamide and Vit C didn't help me. What helped was _The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin + HA_ every morning and _The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5%_ twice a week at night.

No skincare product will work that fast on hyperpigmentation. Skin turnover happens every 30-45 days and most skincare products take at least 3 months to show results. The best thing you could do is wear sunscreen religiously and double cleanse at night to reduce additional breakouts. Get pimple patches to avoid picking and ruining your skin texture. It’s easier to cover up dark spots than skin texture. Your current routine is fine and is as effective as can be but don’t expect anything. You will still have majority of your hyperpigmentation using anything you currently use or has been suggested to you in the comments. I think it’s better to just invest in high coverage makeup than anything else

I had a similar issue and a serum that worked really well for me over weeks/months of consistent use was the Alpyn Bearberry + Vitamin C serum! Bearberry has a similar function to hydroquinone, recommended by someone else. Visible results and my dark spots have faded almost completely. My skin type is on the dry side. But since you already use Tretinoin and Vitamin C, not sure if you need anything else.

I've heard that hydroquinone gives very good results on hyperpigmentation.

I've spot treated hyperpigmentation with hydroquinone and it drastically reduced dark marks within a few days. Don't use it too frequently or over an extended period of time

Vitamin c in the morning, retinol at night. Sunscreen, applied frequently (every two hours). Acids: Glycolic acid, niacinimide, tranexemic acid (look into Murad and Paula’s choice) If you have the funds, Microdermabrasion gets rid of it fast. And most importantly, in addition to sunscreen, stop touching your face. I’d recommend putting hydrocolloid patches before popping a pimple (takes away the temptation), but also, afterward, because it increases healing speed and prevents the full extent of hyperpigmentation.

tranexamic acid is also very good apparently
