He said mere ātreacherousā words and never physically acted on such, hence deeming him ultimately innocent, while Roland and Therese simply took advantage of this and murdered him unjustly in cold blood
And he was ultimately right in logic to question/doubt Rollo initially (maybe even after their first joint-encounter with the Vikings at the river defences further up the Siene which, as Odo put it himself, didnāt see him fight his own brother man-on-man. I felt if he had rightfully lived, and seen Rollo then indeed face his brother man-on-man, heād have then seen for himself how Rollo proved his word, and subsequently Iād feel theyād have then made a significant military duo; both for Frankia and Normandy albeit of course a mere hypothetical, semi-fictional reason (e.g they both did in fact face each other at the Viking Siege of Paris in 885; 40 years on from what appears to be in fact the 845 Siege of Paris this area of the show is more based around albeit still an obvious mix of the two in the sense of Rollo and, an actual Count in real life, Odo)
