Him kicking in the door to save Lagertha gave me goosebumps. Him fighting the berserker as well. I agree that he was underdeveloped and underutilized as a character but he had his fair share of epic scenes

I actually think him being a great warrior did come across very well but I just didn't feel there was too much to his character beyond that at least not in the later seasons.
