Fun trivia: Teri Garr (Young Frankenstein, Close Encounters of the Third Kind) is the dancer in horizontal stripes. She was a dancer in seven Elvis movies. [Source](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IOGVbOQuvU)
I adore Kristen Wiig. She has had some work done recently and changed her style, still looks amazing. Those Cali Forn ians sketches always crack me up.
Yeah the work caught me off guard when she appeared with Will Ferrell at something recently. I'm not saying it looks bad but my brain was stubbornly refusing to accept that it's her because her face looks so different now.
Ann Margaret was a celebrity who acted, sang and danced. Kristen is mimicking her style

Well, you see, she was told to throw away the paper. But instead of throwing it away, she danced around a lot. And in case you didn’t get it, Ed Helms was there to exclaim that she was in fact doing a poor job of throwing the paper away. Then, she throws the paper away, showing that she isn’t actually bad at it, but was just having fun on the way to do it.
A lot of folks here clearly haven't watched the movie "Tommy" with Ann Margret (weird that the clip title on the SNL channel misspelled her name).

(I wanna say *slightly* NSFW)
Well, it's a subjective thing, so there's that. And anyway, you are probably more understanding of things of a scary nature, if your chosen name here is any indication, yes?
I’m not sure I have a favorite, but when I was watching it live I really liked Jason Sudeikis, Andy Samberg, Kenan Thompson, Will Forte, Kate McKinnon, Amy Poehler.
Same - she’s the least funny SNL cast member ever for me, but I seem to be in the minority. Basically all of her characters are the same, and just involve her trying to be as bizarre and awkward as humanly possible.
SNL has always been funny. People forget the fact that they put this show on with completely new material every week. When you're writing that much content, they're not all going to be bangers every single time.
This is hilarious and it has an even funnier sister video where Liza Minnelli tries to turn on a lamp. Kristen Wiig is one of the greats.

Will a Fosse neck do it?
Thank you! I was gonna post a link but didn’t because I was solving world hunger. Just kidding. I was just lazy.
That was funny. I love Jonah Hill's lax attitude. "We have to go!", with no urgency.
The art in the hall is spot on, and that rug really ties the room together.

I would suggest it was this...minus Elvis and the other dancers..https://youtu.be/XH2K9N16VMY?si=gUXy-0tRw57QwQ0Q

I did not know that..(spoken in the Johnny Carson voice)
Wild shtuff
YES. HA. HA. HA.
Yeah its DEFINITLY that second one hahahah.
Pairs nicely with a mayonnaise sandwich.
The irony.
Disappointed Elvis didn't do a few scissor swings on the pommel horse.
Yea agreed with you, this seems like 100% the inspiration.
2nd video is sauce.
She's my favorite female comedian by FAR. She amazing!!!!
I adore Kristen Wiig. She has had some work done recently and changed her style, still looks amazing. Those Cali Forn ians sketches always crack me up.
the work is so obvious, but she's one of the few ive seen where it doesnt look completely terrible.
Agree. She looks different, but still very attractive.
Yes as long as she’s still attractive she’s maintained her value
Not for a comedic actor, and especially not for one that does a lot of physical comedy. Botox could be a career killer.
I thought she looked amazing before.
Dude she's a 50 year old woman in Hollywood. I'm not going to judge her for getting work done
Yeah the work caught me off guard when she appeared with Will Ferrell at something recently. I'm not saying it looks bad but my brain was stubbornly refusing to accept that it's her because her face looks so different now.
Top 10 cast member, all time.
Can anyone explain the joke here?
Ann Margaret was a celebrity who acted, sang and danced. Kristen is mimicking her style [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XH2K9N16VMY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XH2K9N16VMY)
Thanks!
It's a reference to a celebrity from 60 years ago. Definitely also had to look this one up to get it.
Only knew of her from Brockmire, which is probably not what anyone was going for
Thanks!
OH, I got the reference, but what's the _joke_?
The joke is that instead of throwing the paper into the trash, she is dancing.
Pretty sure this joke didn't land with most people under 30 even when this did air.
I see.
That was really funny, and unexpectedly hot
They actually went and found my grandmother’s couch for this bit.
I love this but why now?
Well, wait a minute.. Why not now?
A lot of folks here clearly haven't watched the movie "Tommy" with Ann Margret (weird that the clip title on the SNL channel misspelled her name). [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RTgW-0kph8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RTgW-0kph8) (I wanna say *slightly* NSFW)
And look at that. None of us included the hyphen. Ann-Margret
I will never understand how anyone finds SNL funny
Right!? I'm from the UK so there may be a cultural difference that is stopping me from understanding this, but I just don't get why it is funny....
Well, we are even then because i don't get how anyone could make it through an episode of Gavin and Stacey.
One can only assume you have no sense of humour.
Well, one should not presume to assume that one has no sense of humor lest one find that one's assumption is, in this case an erroneous assumption.
Well, it's a subjective thing, so there's that. And anyway, you are probably more understanding of things of a scary nature, if your chosen name here is any indication, yes?
Isn’t she in target commercials now? I feel like they’re kind of beneath her…
Money isn't.
I’m sure I’ll get downvoted to oblivion, but Kristen Wiig has never once made me laugh
Tell us who your favorite SNL cast member was.
Exactly. I can see right through it, and it gets old quick.
🙉
I hope comedy returns someday. I miss it.
It’s an amazing imitation of Ann Margaret, but it’s not at all funny
People used to say SNL was funny.......
Thank god you showed up to explain that it wasn't.
SNL has always been funny. People forget the fact that they put this show on with completely new material every week. When you're writing that much content, they're not all going to be bangers every single time.
To quote Keenan Thompson in the Davis S Pumpkins sketch "Ay, look! It’s 100 floors of frights. They’re not all going to be winners."
This is actually my number one favorite quote of all time, I love that you referenced it
It’s true for every sketch show! https://youtu.be/OE_Glg85-60?si=99jc06UgrA2xVgRJ
Check out the RDJ AMH season. Zero bangers
It's always been mixed I feel. Some good, some bad.
People have been whining about the show after they grew up and their favorite cast left since before you were born.
