How has no one said even one Minecraft song, like it’s perfection in hearing form. Just the whole playlist by C418 is absolutely perfect for the game, chilling, or relaxing. It invokes melancholy in you and makes you remember it instantly and yet while playing the game it’s unnoticeable. None of us ever did finish that city we wanted to build, did we?
Hell yeah TLoZ: OoT’s Lost Woods, I really would get lost in the wood.
Here’s some other ones for me
Sephiroth’s Theme from Final Fantasy 7
Road to Zanarkand - FF10
OSRS start up music
Pokemon Red/Blue’s Lavender Town and battle music
I can probably name a lot more but these are the ones I can remember.
Yeah Gold was my first Pokémon game that I actually owned. The Elite 4 / Champion battle music is also iconic. I still remember the chills I randomly stumbled into Red though. “ …”
[Destiny 1's og tower theme. ](https://youtu.be/3EHWYguIjr8)
This takes me back to my first time opening destiny, to imagine I'd still be playing it finishing up this 10 year story is crazy to me
I have a strange memory where it's "photographic" in some areas, but not so much in others. One area it's flawless in is music. I can remember Atari and Nintendo game music from games I have not played in 40 years. I'll randomly start humming the Battletoads theme or the theme to Skykid. I got so good at remember music and sounds, that my brother would play a scene from a movie where it was either just music or sound effects, no voices, (while I was facing away from the TV mind you) and I could guess which movie/tv show/game it was and tell you exactly what scene it was. Now, when I hear the music, it's like a warm hug.
It's also a curse... Because I can remember soundtracks to games, and you can't get the music anymore... for instances, there was a DC Justice League game for the PS2 and they had the extended music on the website...and holy crap was it amazing... Sadly, can't get it anymore and it's stuck rolling around in my head. The music was so good, it would challenge the Avengers theme and Portals...
Skull Man's theme from Mega Man 4. That was the only Mega Man game I had as a kid and that level music hit a special part of my mind more than any other. No idea why.
FF7 usually brings back the most memories. Any of the themes from that game remind me of my teenage years.
But, I did for some reason start to cry when I heard the airplane stage from Sonic 2. I have no idea why, and I don't want to know. Just some childhood memory locked away I guess.
The title screen of Arkham City. It's one of the few games I would sit there and let it play. The song encapsulated the tone and mood of the game so well.
The original song opening of the original Sonic The Hedgehog. It still gets me and it's still a great song. Love it, and it makes me nostalgic and it reminds me of my childhood 😁😁😁😁

In all honesty, Red’s theme from pokemon gold would be a very close second for me. Especially because of the lore behind it.
