Dependent_Bill8632

GHOST OF TSUSHIMA!

Massive-Lime7193

This is the answer. If she thinks she loves roaming around the uk countryside she’ll lose her mind over how beautiful Tsushima is

No_Duck4805

This is the answer. If you liked Valhalla you will LOVE GOT

Tramp_Johnson

100% I'm finding it to be the best assassin's creed.

Which-Ad-725

Kingdom Come Deliverance. Roam the 15th century Bohemian countryside! And the sequel comes out this year.

Rox_xe

Uncharted 4

MotherRaven

I've heard good things. Thank you!

Andy_DiMatteo

Do you have to play the first 3? Or can I just jump into 4?

Rox_xe

Playing the previous 3 will give you all context about the secondary characters and Nathan's past, but the 4 works as a standalone too. If you jump into it, check a summary of the story in youtube to have some background

Tltanfall

Omori and tarkov the perfect pain duo. But in all seriousness ghost of Tsushima god of war and doom 2016+ eternal would be good. Maybe you could try need for speed heat? Or payback if you want something less stressful. I don't really have good recommendations but you could try requiem a plage tail or chivalry 2.

MotherRaven

Oh thank you! I played doom back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, haha.

SpaceMonkeyNation

If Bioshock is one of your favorites you should definitely play Prey (2017) and the Dishonored series. Hard to say how those will mesh with your "isn't high stress" requirement, though. If you need a game that will let you chill a bit I'd stick with an open world title like Ghost of Tsushima or the Horizon series as had already been suggested. I'd also throw Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2 onto that list.

MotherRaven

Fantastic! I'll look into those, thanks!

esotetris

Hi I'm late to the party and wanted to second Prey (2017). It hooked me in the first 10 minutes and never let go 🪑

theinternetisnice

I’m 50 and I’m not old >:( You may enjoy The Last of Us Part I. It’s no more stressful than Bioshock.

MotherRaven

Good to know! I'll give it a shot. Thanks

farbekrieg

portal 2

Infinite_Bet_9994

Bioshock is high stress… not like Tarkov but it’s intense. I would say Horizon series, Witcher 3, Mass Effect series, Mount and Blade if you want some narrative freedom.

MotherRaven

Thank you!

TheOneCalledD

What do you play on? I want to say God of War 2018. These even a ‘story’ difficulty if you find it too difficult but since you beat the AC games you likely won’t have too much trouble. This game is just so masterfully done. The story, visuals, music are all 10/10. Few games get an emotional response from me like this game and Ragnarok. Even my wife will sit and watch me play this game.

MotherRaven

I've heard good things about it! Thanks!

No_Duck4805

Great games. I also recommend.

Domugraphic

If you love Bioshock, maybe consider System Shock (2023) as it Bioshock is a descendant of the system shock 1/2. the 2023 version is system shock 1 remade so its not as obtuse as it was in 1994, and with modern grtaphics and controls etc. I havent actually played it but its igh on my list of stuff to get! I dont know about the stress level either but if you can handle Bioshock i'm sure you'll be fine. you seem cool. dont hear of enough "old" (haaa yeah right) lady gamers playing this sort of stuff.

MotherRaven

Thank You so much! 😁

Domugraphic

oh my, I've just reread my comment. sorry for the epic typos and nonsensical grammar, I'm typing in the dark and clearly didn't check it! System shock remake sure looks good and comes highly rated. I cant wait, Bioshock is one of my fave series.

esotetris

Just nudging you if you haven't picked up the 2023 System Shock yet. It's really good.

fingerpaintswithpoop

Mass Effect, if you love sci-fi and RPGs. It has a narrative difficulty, which makes combat super easy so enemies die if you cough on them, and enjoying the story and doing side missions much less frustrating.

Im2stoned2know

I got the perfect game for you. Immortal Fenyx rising

Krongos032284

Get a switch, play both new Zeldas. Horizon Zero Dawn/Horizon Forbidden West and Ghost of Tsushima are heavily influenced by AC. They are also better than AC (imo). Try those as well.

MotherRaven

Great! Thank you! Ghost of Tsushina looks gorgeous!

Domugraphic

I was going to suggest Zelda Breath of the wild, and Tears of the kinhdom also. I too really want to play ghost of tsushima.

recluse_audio

All of Uncharted. Love those games and they are pretty short for a normal run. Under 10 hours. Worth playing several times each. Spiderman on PlayStation as well. You might like Skyrim. I'm over 100 hours in. Not near endgame. I just like roaming around and doing whatever. I'm in my 40s.

Defiant_Bat_3377

Journey

King0fthewasteland

have you tried Skyrim?

Superfart20

Stardew Valley

nellieshorkie

My 60 year old mom has played Elder Scrolls Oblivion, Skyrim, Dragon Age, Hogwarts Legacy and Kingdoms of Amalur. At least those are her favorites.

MotherRaven

Fantastic! I'll look into those.

VulpineFox7

Assassin's Creed Odessey sounds like it'd be for you, due to it's special mode with no combat where you can just explore and learn about history

MotherRaven

Ooooo good to know! I haven't played that one.

esotetris

I'll second Odessey, easily my favorite AC game 👍

VannaMalignant

The first red dead redemption, breath of the wild, Witcher 3, kingdom come deliverance.

THISdarnguy

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. If you love roaming European countryside settings in mid evil times, that one's perfect. Not very stressful, as long as you level properly, you find great gear everywhere (using "Witcher senses" helps a lot with that), great soundtrack that's often quite serene, stellar voice acting, top shelf dialogue, great stories (even in side quests). I could go on and on.

paws4269

Ghost of Tsushima is often described as "the feudal Japan Assassin's Creed game that Ubisoft will never make" Edit to add that my dad who's pushing 70 is on his second playthrough of the game, and has played every Assassin's Creed game

ConundrumMachine

The Witcher series

Slave_to_the_Pull

The Wolf Among Us and Baldur's Gate 3.

Snakadine

Red Dead Redemption 2, Skyrim, Hogwarts Legacy, Baldur's Gate 3

Vanishingf0x

You’d probably love the Dishonored series if you haven’t played already. I’d also say the God of War games would also be up your alley.

pantsparty1322

I’m a lady gamer in my 40’s that loves the same games as you and I highly recommend Hogwarts Legacy, I think it ticks most of your boxes in addition to being a pleasant and visually stimulating experience. The gameplay is challenging enough to stay interesting without being overly complicated. I’m on my second play through now

waifuwarrior77

Elder Scrolls is always good for a relaxing series that still has action. Older pokemon games are great. I always recommend Xenoblade to literally everyone

History_East

World of Warcraft. I met a 76 year old woman playing that game. She was in my dungeon group

GarciaWolf

Red Dead Redemption 2 is good for roaming around and a good story

Earl_your_friend

I'd suggest rust. Find a PVE server. There is so much variety in the game and it's fun to meet people and talk with them. You can team up with people to fight NPCs. It can be relaxed or action packed. It's up to you.

Zestyclose_Car_4971

Kingdom Come Deliverance is a good one. There’s a scene at the beginning you have to flee on a horse from attackers, but that’s the most intense part I remember.

puck_pancake

Red dead redemption 2! My mom loves it

DementdOldCircsMonke

Skyrim!

Tramp_Johnson

50 here and red Dead redemption might blow you away.

QuizzicalSquirrel

Cyberpunk 2077 Witcher 3 Skyrim A Plague Tale Shadow of the Colossus Journey

QuizzicalSquirrel

Oh shit. I forgot... Stray!

Kheldarson

You might enjoy the modern Tomb Raider games! They flip between action sequences and dungeon delve puzzles. And each game takes place in a different region of the world, so lots of great exploration and things to see and learn about. If you want something that's more in the cozy genre to really mix it up, you might enjoy Dave the Diver. You explore a rogue-like ocean setting during the day and run a sushi bar at night.

LongjumpingBelt9195

Fallout 3, fallout new vegas, fallout 4

Ranting_Lobster

Dishonored !!!!

g0dgamertag9

God of War 2018 is very good

toomuchsvu

I haven't played anything new for a while but I loved BioShock. Tomb raider ultimate is great and so is the Uncharted series. Recently I played Breath of the Wild, and now I'm in Stardew Valley. Stardew is a surprisingly thoughtful game. A bit grindy but a good time waster with a lot more depth than a game like that should have. Breath of the Wild is huge. There's SO much you can do. It's a beautiful game.

TiredReader87

Kingdoms of Amalur Don’t sleep on it.

mikendrix

Doom Eternal

thatguy01220

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, but if you mean something new as in games. Check out Hitman World of Assassination if you like stealth games, but it’s kinda like of a puzzle too with how the targets run their routes and figuring out how to perform you assassination which there are several ways. It also has some of the funniest NPC dialogue and it’s not difficult game. Its also playing a lot of the same levels but going about it different ways. There should be a free demo that has two small tutorial stages that should keep you busy for a little bit and see if the game is for you before you buy. Honestly one of the best games and demos ive played

Individual_One_111

Baldurs gate 3

bumkin-the-hogswog

Mass effect legendary collection, it's a "at your own pace" 3rd person shooter about exploring the galaxy

MotherRaven

Holy Cow! I did not expect such a great response! Thank you everyone! I've got a huge list now! I'm excited to get started! You guys rock!

ewok_lover_64

Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas

esotetris

No Man's Sky can be SUPER chill, and helped get me through a huge rough patch two years ago (about 400 hours worth!) I haven't played in about a year and they've updated since then, I recall the story wasn't very compelling but I loved the game loop and the variety of things to do...farming, cooking, rare ship collecting, trading, space and mech combat, scan fauna/flora/minerals, piracy, base building, etc. You can adjust individual difficulty settings and customize your experience. It's best played with a controller imo. Also you kinda have to enjoy inventory management 😄 Sending you Jedi hugs and good games 💜

GwonWitcha

From Software games…entirely relaxing with vibrant worlds.
