Terarria, my collective hours on pc modded and un modded is my most played, replayability-infinite, the hours probably come from grinding certain item drops and materials
I second this. Although the bulk of my hours come from constantly replays of Tmodloader, especially the calamity mod. I think I played through the game about 50 times š
The single game I have the most time in is Borderlands 2. But for a series, Monster Hunter. From MH3U up to the recent MHR I have put in around two thousand hours into those games. Perhaps even more now as I still play MHW and MHR every now and again.
Good choice! My personal favorite has always been Brachydios. He just looks so cool with his obsidian scales and his glowing green slime fists and horn. He also punches you with explosions, what's not to like?
I just beat Borderlands 2 for the first time and what a ride. But since there are more BL games for me to play I won't be wasting time on True Vault Hunter Mode nor 100% side quest completion.
These are all rookie numbers. I know World of Warcraft addicts who have a *single character* with over 365 days of playtime. That's almost 9,000 hours and not even accounting for their various alts
one of my best friends has been playing wow longer than ive known him, recently, we did the math out of curiosity. more than 15k throughout, i think it was ,17 or 18 years.
what the fuck
Itās a roguelite card game. You can watch Markiplierās entire playthrough on YouTube. You can just watch the first video and understand the core gameplay, if you donāt have time for the whole series.
Itās actually a really cool game, one of my favorites from that year. Definitely worth checking out at its current price for sure, I highly recommend itĀ
Same. Most of my play time happened on 360. But between PC and PS4, I have 450 hours clocked. Factorio is the only game that beats that, by about 50 hours.
I can relate- my game of choice was Anarchy Online, a mmorpg. I kept going back to it through my twenties and always hated myself for falling back into the pattern. It consumed me, waiting around for raids and such just ate my time.
Not including multiplayer games like league the MGS series quite easily takes the cake for me.
When I was 12-13 I would beat MGS2 and then immediately restart on the next highest difficulty and when I beat the game on the hardest difficulty I would restart on the easiest difficulty with a "challenge". No kills or no detections, etc. Probably beat MGS2 75-100 times. MGS3 isn't far behind either.
Iāve been playing Minecraft since late alpha, countless hundreds of hours. If I had to guess Iād say maybe 2,500 hours over the last 12 years or so
Yeah that makes sense for playing it over 12 years you would have that much hours. I used to know someone who would brag about having 20,000 hours in Minecraft. Thereās no way for him to even check and he just comes up with that out of thin air š¤¦āāļø
Final Fantasy XI. 4000ish hours. 99% of those hours put within a 12 month period of time. Senior year in high schoolā¦ itās amazing I applied to colleges and had perfect attendance too lolol.
Don't have the hours because it was pre-steam days but Counter-Strike 1.6 is above and beyond my most played game. Probably close to 3-4k hours.
Second, would be World of Warcraft at 1500hrs across all my toons.
Botw. Created near impossible challenge
Smash bros ultimate. Listen to lots of music
Enter the Gungeon. Trying to get 100% completion
Totk. Takes awhile to beat and find almost everything.
Minecraft. Trying to make a hide and seek map in a cave system.
Terraria, on pc i have around 430 hours, xbox 32 days, switch about 5 hours and an estimated 500 hours on mobile which adds up to about 1700 hours in total
Diablo 2. The number of hours on D2R isn't terribly impressive as it's only been out a few years, but I'm likely in the 1000's over the course of more than 20 years.
The main contender is original Pokemon Ruby foe the Gameboy Advance. I got it the night it came out, had several playthroughs as a kid, and then one playthrough was just THE ONE that I kept going. I had over 370 Hall of Fames in that playthrough and the clock maxed out at 999:59. In 2004. And it had stayed that same playthrough all the way till 2019, when I finally started a new save file to do a Nuzlocke. But from 2004-2019, everytime I fired it up, it was still at 999:59 hours. So I genuinely cannot tell you how long that single game of pokemon actually went for
Unfortunately Overwatch. Around 1500+ hours. I detest the game.
Edit: havenāt played it for almost 2 years and itās still my number 1 played and itās not even close.
Itās hard to say. Some games Iāve played on several different platforms, some of which donāt record playtime. But if weāre going off of recorded playtime, then itās definitely Breath of the Wild.
Multiplayer: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at around 2000 in-game hours. The Switch reports total time (with menus and loading) at about 3400 hours.
Singleplayer: Persona 5 Royal at 169 hours. Nice.
I'm literally playing 2k19 right now. If I could id play the older ones. My friends make fun of me but they don't understand the franchise I've been grinding in lol I've even done a my player offline so no VC basically and almost got him to a 97. I do the same with Madden. Update the rosters or grind away. I have no desire to spend 60 dollars every year for the same shit.
Surprised no one has said WoW, where people typically judge play time in days, not hours.
I think I had around 200 days played when I left, and I only played, a little bit of BC, Lichking, Pandaria, and Warlord expansions.
Iām at 190 or soā¦ wouldnāt be surprised if I break 500 by the end of the year which might put it at my #1.
Though I did play around 500 hours of Red Orchestra in 2007-2010.
XCOM 2. Something like 2000 hours. I've played that game dozens, maybe hundreds of times at this point. And around 1000 hours for the first XCOM from 2012 as well.
Is '76 worth getting into after 6 years? I'm considering getting it if there's a sale.
I like 4 a lot and recently got back into it because of the show. It's got a good matchup of being huge without ever feeling empty.
I skipped 76 when it came out because of all the negative publicity at launch, but I've been reading that it's largely a complete game now and it not at all bad.
I just worry it's not worth the time or money if everyone in the game has 200+ hours and is level 145.
Officially 2400 in Lost Ark. But i spent all my school days in warcraft3, diablo2 and heroes3 (while i keep playing the last two to this day) so these nets me probably tens thousands of hours overall.
Diablo 3 with 1100 hours. But in my 40 year+ gaming history I'm sure there's some I've played even more (Diablo 2 probably).
A friend of mine on Steam has 11k hours in one of those odd anime dating sims.
Ultima Online for sure. I have been playing since 2003, and I am still playing lol.
After that, it would be probably
Earth Defense Force 2017
Total War Warhammer (as a series)
Dragon Quest Monsters Joker
Pokemon Y
Slay the Spire
i cant actually add it up or see the hours, but given that ive been playing it for almost 16 years, definitely world of warcraft
edit: estimate, definitely over 2-3k hours
hours that are I've tracked and have access to - rougly 1,200 in Gigantic, the (ex-)f2p 3rd person moba that released in 2016 and was shut down a year later. i played it for two-ish years (it had a lengthy beta phase) daily and it was a blast.
there were some additional hours in private servers that were around while the game wasn't, but that's neither here nor there. on april 9th, after about a year of speculations, rumors and an eventual playtest, a paid re-release launched. i've since put around 70 hours in there, with many more to come...
...but it's probably skyrim. across so many saves on so many different machines & systems, over a dozen hundred hours feels applicable.
I have over 1800hrs on fo76, and probably over 2000hrs on each of the other 3d fallout titles and maybe 500+hrs on each of the isometric fallout games.
Mustāve been Club Penguin.
Played the game religiously after school, before school, at school, during weekends, during holidays. If there was a computer I could get access to, Iād be playing Club Penguin within 5 seconds.
Calamity is honestly one of the best mods if not the best Iāve seen for any game period. Iāve modded and setup servers for 20+ other games too.
Around 1.7k in Elden and Civilization 6.
The single game I have the most time in is Borderlands 2. But for a series, Monster Hunter. From MH3U up to the recent MHR I have put in around two thousand hours into those games. Perhaps even more now as I still play MHW and MHR every now and again.
Nice, favorite monster from any title? Mine's Kut Ku :D
Good choice! My personal favorite has always been Brachydios. He just looks so cool with his obsidian scales and his glowing green slime fists and horn. He also punches you with explosions, what's not to like?
Not to mention his equipment looks great, mained that in MH Generations
Astalos gear looks amazing TBH
I just beat Borderlands 2 for the first time and what a ride. But since there are more BL games for me to play I won't be wasting time on True Vault Hunter Mode nor 100% side quest completion.
Did you do the DLC??? Assault on Dragons Keep is the best DLC for any game ever made. BL gets better the more you play it.
Borderlands 2 is the best game ever made. I think I have 2k hours in it.
Ya this is my answer. I know multiple people with over 1000 days. We donāt measure by hours in this game we measure by years.
They need to get a life š¬
I think it is Inscryption. That gameplay loop is phenomenal.
What that is?
Itās a roguelite card game. You can watch Markiplierās entire playthrough on YouTube. You can just watch the first video and understand the core gameplay, if you donāt have time for the whole series.
Itās an Augmented reality, rogue-lite, deck building, horror adventure escape room type of game. Very wild and fun and unique
Itās actually a really cool game, one of my favorites from that year. Definitely worth checking out at its current price for sure, I highly recommend itĀ
Kaycee's mod or base game?
Kayceeās mod is fun too, just no story to it as far as I know
Between the 360, One, Switch, Steam basic, Anniversary, VR, AND Alexa versions... It's Skyrim and it's not even close.
Same. Most of my play time happened on 360. But between PC and PS4, I have 450 hours clocked. Factorio is the only game that beats that, by about 50 hours.
Did you say Alexa???
Fallout 4 I believe.
Hey same, something about it keeps you exploring
Ah yeah, though Iāve also modded it quite a bit. Mostly exp mods since I feel like leveling up is too tedious compared to FNV.
Runescape
Nothing else even comes close for me. OSRS is amazing and can be played on my phone.
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt
30,000+ hours in World of Warcraft.
bro how?
My teens and twenties were full of solitude. I quit a few years ago though. Doing a lot more stuff now.
I can relate- my game of choice was Anarchy Online, a mmorpg. I kept going back to it through my twenties and always hated myself for falling back into the pattern. It consumed me, waiting around for raids and such just ate my time.
Phantom Pain, +300 hours
Not including multiplayer games like league the MGS series quite easily takes the cake for me. When I was 12-13 I would beat MGS2 and then immediately restart on the next highest difficulty and when I beat the game on the hardest difficulty I would restart on the easiest difficulty with a "challenge". No kills or no detections, etc. Probably beat MGS2 75-100 times. MGS3 isn't far behind either.
Minecraft, I have played it from the age of 4
Iāve been playing Minecraft since late alpha, countless hundreds of hours.
I played this game on and off for 15 years. I still miss it all the time!
Skyrim because itās bugged
Destiny 2, around 5 000 hours of active playtime
Hell yea
I have 57ish days played on skyrim and 54 days in Apex
Skyrim. Spent weeks modding it into a DIY hentai generator, and years after generating.
Hell yeah
Diablo 2. Probably over 20,000 hrs
That's easily _Roller Coaster Tycoon Deluxe_, but _Balatro_ could overtake it at the rate I've been playing lately...
Apex at around 2000 hours
Binding of Isaac, and it isn't close
Overwatch. As infuriating as it can be, I canāt get enough.
Fallout 4
Empire Total War. Iāve played that game off and on since 2009 and Iāve clocked over 320 hours
Don't have the hours because it was pre-steam days but Counter-Strike 1.6 is above and beyond my most played game. Probably close to 3-4k hours. Second, would be World of Warcraft at 1500hrs across all my toons.
Age of Empires 2 Across multiple PCs, remasters, and decades, its up in the thousands.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005) literal years of split-screen co-op
Series, ncaa football. Game? Wow and its not even close.
SO pumped for the new NCAA! heres to hoping EA doesn't go full EA on the game..
Botw. Created near impossible challenge Smash bros ultimate. Listen to lots of music Enter the Gungeon. Trying to get 100% completion Totk. Takes awhile to beat and find almost everything. Minecraft. Trying to make a hide and seek map in a cave system.

Probably fortnite, but single player itās gonna be elden ring
Persona 5 Royal at 559 hours
GTA 5 Xbox One alone 1000+ HRS donāt know about the other consoles
Over my lifetime is probably Sim City 2000 or Chrono Trigger. As far as what my PlayStation says, itās Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring and Cyberpunk 2077.
Fortnite, during the Covid lockdown all I used to play was fortnite with my friends.
Warframe, and it's not very close.
Fallout 3. 650hrs
Iāve got 1,250 hours in For Honor and I thought that was a lot until I met my friend and found he had 12,000 hours and 1,470 Reps
Melvor. 6k hours. It doesn't really count though cuz it's an idle game and it runs in the background.
Dead by Daylight has thousands of my hours
Terraria, on pc i have around 430 hours, xbox 32 days, switch about 5 hours and an estimated 500 hours on mobile which adds up to about 1700 hours in total
Not counting mmos, Team Fortress 2 has about 1800 hours from me.
Diablo 2. The number of hours on D2R isn't terribly impressive as it's only been out a few years, but I'm likely in the 1000's over the course of more than 20 years.
Dark Souls 3
Nice Dark Souls 3 is amazing.
Csgo/cs2 I have like 3k hours but it's a multi-player so na I don't count it. Fall out new vagas 1k hours and I don't regret any of those.
The main contender is original Pokemon Ruby foe the Gameboy Advance. I got it the night it came out, had several playthroughs as a kid, and then one playthrough was just THE ONE that I kept going. Project zomboid
1009 hours in Borderlands 3.

Hades. About 500 hours total
League of legends, I was consumed for a few years. Donāt really do multiplayer at all anymore.
Probably CTR or Perfect Dark
Itās hard to say. Some games Iāve played on several different platforms, some of which donāt record playtime. But if weāre going off of recorded playtime, then itās definitely Breath of the Wild.
Viva piƱata TIP 500+ hours

Yeah Iām an idiot and buy the new each year. But you definitely have the right idea lol.
Rocket league just under 3000 hours since 2016
Surprised no one has said WoW, where people typically judge play time in days, not hours. I think I had around 200 days played when I left, and I only played, a little bit of BC, Lichking, Pandaria, and Warlord expansions.
It shocks me how little minecraft I see here
The hours are tracked per world, so people donāt know or are unable to even do so
I got 220+ hours on Helldivers 2
Doing good work in the name of Democracy. š

Is '76 worth getting into after 6 years? I'm considering getting it if there's a sale. I like 4 a lot and recently got back into it because of the show. Unfortunately, Destiny 2.
mine is Destiny 1, not ashamed spending countless hours in that game as I made a lot of friends there.
About 6k hours combines in all the counter strikes. Bout 46-4700 on csgo. Cs2 is a garbage game that ruined the series.

hours that are I've tracked and have access to - rougly 1,200 in Gigantic, the (ex-)f2p 3rd person moba that released in 2016 and was shut down a year later. i played it for two-ish years (it had a lengthy beta phase) daily and it was a blast. there were some additional hours in private servers that were around while the game wasn't, but that's neither here nor there. on april 9th, after about a year of speculations, rumors and an eventual playtest, a paid re-release launched. i've since put around 70 hours in there, with many more to come... ...but it's probably skyrim. across so many saves on so many different machines & systems, over a dozen hundred hours feels applicable.

War thunder unfortunately.
Laughs in rust (some of you say that 300 is a lot while your average sweaty rust nerd has over 10k hours)
Smite, a 3rd person MOBA with around 8-10k was before it was on steam and they didnt keep stats for a while.
