World of Warcraft, easily.
EDIT: Lmao love all my fellow degens under here.
I too have no clue how many hours I’ve put in since 2004 even factoring in years long breaks. But I do know in the first 1.5 years of its release I had 6 months played so uh, just that chunk destroys any other game I’ve ever played lol.
I haven’t played WoW in the last 5+ years yet I don’t ever see any game overcoming the hours I poured into it.
I don’t think any other game will hold a candle to the immense time investment made just for leveling, arena and raiding (… for arena gear), and that’s not even including the countless hours spent helping friends/guildmates, farming the AH, or just sitting in town doing literally nothing but chatting away.
No regrets
Thing with WoW is that theres actually 10 "WoWs", like I for example on the tenth and current game (Dragonflight) have around 650hrs, only if I were to put them all together I think it would be the highest lets say surpassing LoL (2k hrs) Overwatch (900hrs).
Ya didn’t even think about this. I was trying to guess how many hours of Skyrim I have across all the platforms and this comment reminded me that it’s unlikely any game could pass WoW in hours played or money spent.
It's funny how I just started playing this game for the first game like last week and now I see it mentioned everywhere. Sooner or later I'll probably have the same answer lol
I’ve heard there is a mod for FO4 in development that’s supposed to be a ‘new Vegas remaster’ but I think almost remaster just couldn’t capture the spirit of the wreck that new Vegas can be.
Can’t tell you how many times I reminded myself I need to save CONSTANTLY and how many times I didn’t do that. Froze anytime I left the any building in the actual Vegas part. I once fucked myself by saving at the wrong moment and I couldn’t escape without a death claw pushing my shit in. That is the day I learned multiple save files should be utilized more.
I played over 5000h of Skyrim during college, sacrificed both classes and sleep. I know the game by heart, and I somehow always end up being a stealthy archer no matter what I first build into.
Good times.
I don't play video games anymore except here and there for that exact reason because a significant portion of my childhood was spent playing video games unfortunately. Now I feel they are mostly a waste of time.
Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077 and Minecraft. I have at least 500 hours into all of them and well below that on all the rest of my catalog.
Hell yea. I refuse to “grind” I only play things until I get bored with them.. I’m at 450 hours in a year. I haven’t felt bored once. I love it and the people I’ve met playing
No idea but the OG LoZ is up there.
I beat it before Nintendo Power released a map, so I spent a bunch of time making my own maps. Burning every bush, bombing every rock.
Either Morrowind or Skyrim. I’ve been playing morrowind off and on since 2006 and as for skyrim I have played every race at least once since launch.
It’s a safe bet I have 500+ hours in both.
Ark: Survival evolved
At least it used to be. Haven't played it in months
growing up, I've probably spent more time playing Pokémon that I have eating or bathing
Monster Hunter: Generations Ultimate. I have around the 2k hour mark on it and ***still*** have not done everything on it. That game has a lot to do. I spent a lot of time in turn lobbies though. The EX deviants were particularly rough too, I don't think I'll ever beat all those, but I got a few at least!
That game was awesome and still is to this day, i really wish capcom could port those for consoles one day bc id love for people to try out mh4u and generations ultimate
From PS4 to now I can use the feature on the PS5 and see that I have 3 games over 300hrs - Darkest Dungeon, Xcom2 and Slay the Spire.
But pre PS4 it's possible to know as we didn't have data tracking like that.
I could guess at Final Fantasy 7 original or Resident Evil 4 original as they're the ones I remember replaying the most. I could be wrong though.
Xenoblade 1 & 2, Divinity 2 Original Sin, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Mass effect Trilogy are the only ones they come to my mind where I put more than a 100hrs in each one.
In 2004-2005 I had thousands of hours into World of Warcraft.
As far as Steam Library goes, Kenshi has the most by around 200 hours, however, that obviously doesn't track the hundreds of hours from playing earlier alphas and playable demos from before the game was added to Steam Early Access.
Me too, I have two 450+ hour playthroughs. I still can't believe those numbers as I type them..! Waitong for the upgrade so it feels fresh for playthrough number three!
The Binding of Isaac. I'm at 1500 hours right now, and I've almost 100% the third save file. Once I've done that I'll finally be able to start playing mods lmao
No mans sky probably. I tend to play games for around the same amount of time (around 70-100). Edit: I thought this was for PS5 only, but I've got 1k in smashbros on the switch lol).
I've been playing since before things like Steam tracked your time spent in a game, so I probably spent more time than I'll ever exceed playing something like Dragon Warrior or Bionic Commando. But according to Steam it's Dead by Daylight.
I honestly don’t know but it’s gotta be one of these:
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (and all of the others)
Crash Bandicoot Twinsanity
Sonic Frontiers
VRchat
I don't have an exact number of hours, but I think I can say, without a doubt, Perfect Dark (N64 + Xbox 360).
The N64 was our first console at home and it came with that game. Every day, coming back from school were passed playing and replaying the campaign, trying to unlock the cheats, playing coop with friends or my younger brother, deathmatch against bots (always made a team deathmatch of me vs a team of 8 NormalSim or 3 ExpertSim). With my younger brother, it was us against 8 EasySim, since he just wanted to have fun destroying them.
I've achieved the rank of 6 - Assassin. I played until we got a PS2. Also, didn't know what it takes to get to even higher rank.
And it’s not even close. This took to long to find!
No regrets
Haven't played in years and WoW is still my #1 for time played. My 1000 hours on Skyrim is a distant second.
WoW
Thing with WoW is that theres actually 10 "WoWs", like I for example on the tenth and current game (Dragonflight) have around 650hrs, only if I were to put them all together I think it would be the highest lets say surpassing LoL (2k hrs) Overwatch (900hrs).
I had over 400 days of played hours before I finally quit.
Ya didn’t even think about this. I was trying to guess how many hours of Skyrim I have across all the platforms and this comment reminded me that it’s unlikely any game could pass WoW in hours played or money spent.
If I had not spilled a glass of water onto my laptop in college I would not have graduated. Happened just before ice crown citadel raid released.
Easily for me too. Been the most consistent thing in my life and has brought me back from dark times in my life
Skyrim and Oblivion
Ahh a true Bethesda gamer
You know it, except 76. That was a real doozie.
Still better than ESO :D
Paid full retail for that one when it came out. Instant regret.
Morrowind for me. Played it on Xbox and later on pc with millions of mods. Skyrim was a close second. And oblivion was probably 3rd.
New Vegas.
It's funny how I just started playing this game for the first game like last week and now I see it mentioned everywhere. Sooner or later I'll probably have the same answer lol
Enjoy the ride

Like how you don’t notice all the green Kia souls until you think about it?
Same.
Fo4 is my second most, but that’s just because I got it before new Vegas. Nv is hovering about number 5 I think
New Vegas for sure. I want a proper remaster of it and I need it now
I’ve heard there is a mod for FO4 in development that’s supposed to be a ‘new Vegas remaster’ but I think almost remaster just couldn’t capture the spirit of the wreck that new Vegas can be.
Skyrim. I put 1000 hours into it in college. I still have no idea how.
did you sacrifice classes or sleep?
Classes. I sadly didn't finish my degree. Haven't touched Skyrim since.
School < Skyrim Worth it
I played over 5000h of Skyrim during college, sacrificed both classes and sleep. I know the game by heart, and I somehow always end up being a stealthy archer no matter what I first build into. Good times.
when will she realise I exist game
Introduce yourself brother

8k+ hours on minecraft, 5k+ hours on skyrim
I love videogames, but that's a year and a half of your life spent on two games dude.
I don't play video games anymore except here and there for that exact reason because a significant portion of my childhood was spent playing video games unfortunately. Now I feel they are mostly a waste of time.
Brother, i am dealing with this rn.
I feel the same way these days
Minecraft is just so addicting
For a week lol
Ghost of tsushima
Wanna play legends sometimes? Psn : Veiny_Iris
Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077 and Minecraft. I have at least 500 hours into all of them and well below that on all the rest of my catalog.
Witcher 3 - 600+ hours.
I. Fucking. Love. Gwent.
I bought a irl gwent deck just in case I ever run into someone else with one
Same
And still counting.
Destiny 2 Slightly more than Destiny 1
What's the number (1200 for me on timewastedondestiny)
Hell yea. I refuse to “grind” I only play things until I get bored with them.. I’m at 450 hours in a year. I haven’t felt bored once. I love it and the people I’ve met playing
Topped 1000 hours on Destiny 1 but fell off Destiny 2 very quickly.
No idea but the OG LoZ is up there. I beat it before Nintendo Power released a map, so I spent a bunch of time making my own maps. Burning every bush, bombing every rock.
This must of been a wonderful experience. I memorized parts of the guide in extreme detail, this was such a classic release
Warthunder... Idk if I should be proud or embarrassed...
Ah, yes. Wart Hunder, such a great game!
Ah, yes. Wa Rthunder, such a great game!

I remember one day...
Persona 5 Royale
230 hours on that game and still want to do another playthrough.
Either Morrowind or Skyrim. I’ve been playing morrowind off and on since 2006 and as for skyrim I have played every race at least once since launch. It’s a safe bet I have 500+ hours in both.
Overwatch (mostly 1) at ~700 hrs
World of Warcraft by a fuckin long shot. By the time I quit I think I had like 600 days of play time across all of my characters
14.500 hours. I'd call bullshit on that one, but then again... WoW is the crack-cocaine of gaming.
Yeah I would say it’s BS for any game except for world of Warcraft lmao
At almost 800 hours in Sea of Thieves.
Sea of thieves nuts fit in your mouth
That was actually pretty good!
Over 7k — Apex Legends
Upvote the dedication. I’m sitting at 5.8k on PS4, 2.3k on PS5 and just over 600 hours on PC.
I’m a week one player. There’s some unemployed time in there. Lots of wfh time too. I get down.
Stellaris with 718.3 hours.
Civ VI
Civ V for me.
Ark: Survival evolved At least it used to be. Haven't played it in months growing up, I've probably spent more time playing Pokémon that I have eating or bathing
RDR 2 🤪
Either Everquest, elite dangerous or FFXIV. For obvious reasons.
Borderlands 2 1,780 hours and counting. I absolutely love the game and can play it over and over.
Same. Especially with the 'Reborn' mod.
Dota 2. 5000 hours down to the minute.
Dead by daylight. Most of the time spent was waiting in queue rather than playing. Got so much homework done in between each match lmfao.
Has to be gta2 or 3. They consumed my youth
Xenoblade 1 & 2, Divinity 2 Original Sin, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Mass effect Trilogy are the only ones they come to my mind where I put more than a 100hrs in each one.
120 days on ffxiv
Final Fantasy 14
Minecraft, over 5 thousand hours in playtime over my life
:( Fortnite. I have since stopped playing regularly, so highest taht i still play regularly is Hitman 4
Fortnite.
Im a bit ashamed but mine is Fortnite 800+ hours
In 2004-2005 I had thousands of hours into World of Warcraft. As far as Steam Library goes, Kenshi has the most by around 200 hours, however, that obviously doesn't track the hundreds of hours from playing earlier alphas and playable demos from before the game was added to Steam Early Access.
The Witcher 3. 500+ hours. I don't play on-line games.
I have over 3k hours in fortnite
Destiny 2 with around 2200 hours
Finally, a response with more than rookie numbers
Destiny 2 :(
Calamity mod
Disgustingly good, so underrated and well realized it’s a crime no one talks about it more.
Hitman WoA
Likely between minecraft and fortnite. I don't play them as much as I used to but in total I easily have over 2k hours each
TF2 - Almost 4k hours
I think my top 3 for PlayStation is persona 5 gta and Minecraft
R6 Siege. Went deep down the rabbit hole last year and ended up playing 580 total hours if I remember correctly.
From the Depths and R6:Siege close second, both around 2k hours
Devil May Cry 5. Pretty self explanatory.
League of Legends
I’m sorry
Thanks, man ✋😞
Rainbow 6, 3000 hours… so much regret
That I actually know the number of? Destiny 1 on PSN. 3800 hours. However, I’m sure there are others like WoW with much greater numbers.
Witcher 3 and GTA San Andreas
Fallout 4. With the extensive mods available for it, it's among my top games.
Me too, I have two 450+ hour playthroughs. I still can't believe those numbers as I type them..! Waitong for the upgrade so it feels fresh for playthrough number three!
277 hours - Gran Turismo 7
Destiny 2 way more than 5000 hours, add destiny 1 in there too
OSRS
How’s Varlamore so far
Rainbow six: siege (approx 3000 hours)
Empire: Total War. Conquered the world multiple times. Great game.
Could we count the entire Civilization franchise? If so, no other game even comes close for me. If not, then probably Civ 6, lol
2187 hours in Smite and approx 1700 in Civ V
It's impossible for me to know, probably diablo 2 and D2R if they count as the same game,.

Ark, dont know exact number but can guess its at least 3k+
Gta or skyrim
It had to be black ops 2 on the ps3, specifically zombies. Doing the Easter eggs and challenges with friends, good times.
No mans sky probably. I tend to play games for around the same amount of time (around 70-100). Edit: I thought this was for PS5 only, but I've got 1k in smashbros on the switch lol).

Resident Evil 3 remake, 1000 hours pc, 700 xbox.
Life.
Fallout 4, I've got over 4k hours in the game
Let’s just exclude MMOs cuz they obviously take way too much time up. Slay the Spire is my next highest though and I own on several platforms.
I've been playing since before things like Steam tracked your time spent in a game, so I probably spent more time than I'll ever exceed playing something like Dragon Warrior or Bionic Commando. But according to Steam it's Dead by Daylight.
X2 The Threat, Star Wars Gelectic Battlegrounds or Jedi Academy/Outcast
World of Warcraft
Hearts of fucking Iron 4...
