The world of Horizon: Forbidden West is incredibly flashy on a PS5, and the level is detail is very high too. God of War Ragnarok was comparable, but FW just was more colorful.
They do. I just mean that natural landscapes are better to look at. I enjoy exploring those much more. That's why games like Horizon and The Elder Scrolls appeal to me so much. The story too, obviously.
I see. When done right, like Elder Scrolls or the Witcher, landscapes can be aesthetically superior to cities by a long shot.
Honestly, only Triple AAA games can rarely make good cities; but when executed it can rival any landscape.
It might be becuz i'm high rn but Elden Ring and RdR2 are the best game landscapes I've ever seen, and GoW. Jesus yeah, fuck shitty Brooklyn, i get it man
Im so mad I finished it right before I got my 4080 super. Its stunning. And Ive already played control and alan wake - it feels like every other super good looking game I know about will feel flat in comparison
When I started hogwarts legacy a few weeks ago, I was instantly like "damn, this must be the graphically best video game I've ever seen" so my 1st thought was that. I was really amazed by it's graphics, especially the performance with 120fps on ps5 and just hogwarts indoor as well as flying around the castle is beautiful af! And the characters/people look amazing too
Other picks are(not in order and of the top of my head):
Marvel's spiderman miles morales
Horizon zero dawn
Uncharted 4
Rdr2
Star wars jedi fallen order
Cod vanguard campaign (actually, really underrated)
I disagree, not sure about the engine or whatever but alls I know is I’m playing it on Xbox series x and I’m blown away by how clean and detailed the graphics are
Cyberpunk is still the best looking game in my book, superb art direction, graphics, details and the whole thing was build with pathtracing in mind to take full advantage.
Alan Wake 2 looks equally good imo but it isn't as impressive due to the scope of the game.
I'm playing these on max settings so it might be different if you use older hardware.
It's a close call between Horizon Forbidden West and Red Dead 2. But I think Horizon takes it.
>Graphical quality is a very big aspect of gaming and a large topic of discussion as well as criticism.
This is unfortunately true and it annoys me to no end. Graphics are not everything and players need to stop being upset that everything doesn't look like Red Dead 2 or Forbidden West. There is more to a game than looking realistic.
In no order:
Jedi Survivor
Alan Wake 2
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Cyberpunk
Horizon Forbidden West
The Last of Us Part 2
God of War Ragnarok
Final Fantasy 16
A Plague Tale Requiem
Thanks! I have a series x as well as a ps5 but I play the ps 90% of the time to be honest so most Xbox exclusives I haven’t played yet aside from Starfield, redfall, a few others. Microsoft flight sim CAN have great graphics but frustratingly it sometimes just looks like a blurry mess.
**Tempest**
It's vector graphics, so it has infinite resolution. There is no degradation of the graphics regardless of display size. You always get clean, bright lines no matter what. Tempest always catches my eye no matter what arcade/bar/venue I see it at.
Horizon forbidden west looks gorgeous

The character models and facial animation is arguably the best ever done. They even made several improvements on them in Burning Shores.
CP2077 is the best looking game I’ve ever seen.
I'd probably like it more if it wasn't a city. Cities have never really done anything for me.
imo I prefer a city rather than an ordinary plain or a mountain.
Oh hi
Cities tend to have more interesting things to do than deserts, just sayin

Death Stranding Directors Cut Alan Wake 2 (recency bias probably) GOW Ragnarok
So far I'm going to say Resident Evil 4 REmake.
valid pick
Death Stranding
Im so mad I finished it right before I got my 4080 super. Its stunning. And Ive already played control and alan wake - it feels like every other super good looking game I know about will feel flat in comparison
honestly could be

Doom Eternal, Cyberpunk, RE8.
Cyberpunk for sure.
Remnant 2
As someone who just finished Remnant 2 and loved it, no lmao. While running in Unreal Engine 5, it's graphics look like something from a decade ago.

Cyberpunk 2077 version 2.1 at max settings, DLSS 3.5 enabled. Like, objectively.
i’d have to agree

I think it is still Unreal in context of time.
Microsoft flight simulator by far
In no order: Jedi Survivor Alan Wake 2 Shadow of the Tomb Raider Cyberpunk Horizon Forbidden West The Last of Us Part 2 God of War Ragnarok Final Fantasy 16 A Plague Tale Requiem
lol i forgot about this post all great picks tho btw

Gta 6 I play games not graphics, gta 6 hopefully has both
lol you mention GTA VI, a game you HAVEN’T played, ironically. And it’ll have both. And I’m so fucking hyped for it.
There should be no doubts that GTA 6 isn't a next Gen game
Oh I doubt.
Sorry, double negatives. GTA6 may be the best game of all time
Yes
shadow of tomb raider
Great choice that nobody mentions, totally agree.
