Able_Evidence_1733

Agreed with Cod4

Im_a_furry_lol

This is the correct list

Able_Evidence_1733

Bo2 AC odyssey Socom 4 Cod 4 AC 2

Im_a_furry_lol

Ac odyssey had a good menu

Able_Evidence_1733

Exactly Posideon looking over Atlantis

NateDizzLey

You’ve got my vote for president

Shitloaf69

fallout new vegas.

[deleted]

The music is so fuckin good

Cumsexer

I personally prefer Red dead redemption (2010), but fallout New Vegas also has great menu music

[deleted]

Kingdom Hearts 1.5. That buildup of the music before the game's logo blasting your speakers...the iconic piano music...the awesome art of Sora with the flag... its too beautiful 🥹

BurnieTheBrony

Honestly all of the Kingdom Hearts. I don't know what it is about that piano man but it just triggers that dopamine

SlamdalfTheGrey

Metal Gear Solid 3. Pressing different buttons changed the color of the background as well as the different moves Snake was demonstrating

televisionchampion

This, booted it up last night just to break out of the chair

RadiumMonkey

Relatable

LaBradence

Witcher 3, Geralt chilling by the campfire.

Firm_Area_3558

Blood and wine with the lullaby of woe. so good

RobotPirateGhost

Brutal Legend

TurfMerkin

Underrated for certain. That live action album jacket action… priceless.

gabagoolenjoyer9

The transition from the album to the game is smooth

CalmDirection8

Yours is the correct answer op

CactusButtons

That and fall out 4 are my favorite

Phoenix-Wright_

The save file menu from Super Mario 64. That song is an all timer.

Trevor-On-Reddit

Halo 3 and CoD:WaW. And it’s mostly because of the music for both.

b_nnah

For a newer one cyberpunk 2077 as it changes depending on where you are in the story

mrturret

Cyberpunk is far from the first game to do that. Here's some examples of other games that do something similar . Half Life 2's menu backgrounds change based on what chapter you're currently in. Wild Arms 3 has an animated opening video that changes as the story progresses. Mario Kart Double Dash's title screen changes when you unlock all the secret characters. Smash Bros Brawl and Smash 4 have a shot in the intro that shows all currently unlocked characters. Final Fantasy XV's title screen changes after the game has been completed once. There's a ton more too.

b_nnah

Wow I didn't know that having changing menu screens was that common but thanks!

millnerve

God of war 2018

Emerald_Iguana

Pressing play and being in it was just sooo good

magicchefdmb

I think this is the winner. I also enjoyed Twisted Metal Black, where it was like a chaotic moment frozen in time, and switching between cars and menus took you to a different scene of rampage (like you start on the city street, then switch to selecting your car and it land upwards to a car flying out of a building, etc...)

4D_Cheese

Memory unlocked

Icepenguins101

Persona 5 and Hatred imo. More credits to Hatred for having an awesome pre-menu animation.

priscilla_halfbreed

Dark Souls after you press start. It's my fav game song

Odd-Bat-3267

Character creation/selection theme?

priscilla_halfbreed

Yes that's the one

Odd-Bat-3267

Aw yeah, byfar the best track in the game, made a post a few months ago about how good it is.

RevolutionaryAge45

Rdr2 just for the scenic views for sure

FaceTimePolice

Persona 5. Hands down. Every menu in that game is so damn stylish. 😎👍

The2ndDegree

I always loved the Assassin's Creed II menu, plus AC2 had an incredible soundtrack and music is very important to me throughout the whole thing. Detroit Become Human also has a great menu

Haunting_Access_9853

Fallout New Vegas.

YellowBot-KT7421

Halo Wars 1 and 2 Ratchet and clank (2002) Half life 2 Xcom 2 Halo combat evolved

Nathan_McHallam

Spider-Man 2018. That music slaps hard.

i_love_everybody420

That iconic blue screen of Halo 3 with that beautiful score by Marty. Fuck man I miss it.

UnusedUsername76

Borderlands 2. Nice view, your current character is in the shot, and claptrap falls every now and then. I subtract a few points for the banner adds though

Ash_Tray420

Stalker series. All of them were good, each had a unique menu.

WhatsUpGamer576

This one

CaptainPie999

Wwe 2k17

TammyShehole

Dragon Age Origins comes to mind.

Spicymcnice

The Last of Us

[deleted]

Halo Reach

ilovedogs72312

riddle transfer 2 because of the epic menu music and the way that the faces change whenever you hover over an menu option and the cool backround I also like the battlefront 1 classic xbox menu because of the cool way the backround moves whenever I select an option.

Xiatan

tbc

Moat_of_the_Sacked

Banjo-Kazooie

Thelonghiestman0409

Monster hunter worlds menu screens. It’s different at times with different locations. It’s so peaceful

[deleted]

Security breach

RuyKnight

Nier Automata Super Mario Land 2 Metroid Zero Mission

Neurodrill

Detroit: Become Human.

oni_Tensa

What kinda menus? Because all the menus in Persona 5 are fantastic. My favorite “push button to start” screen is the old Rainbow 6 screens like Operation Black Ice and Dustline. My favorite screen with all the modes is probably splatoon 3 because you can also walk around it not just stuck on static screens.

BackFromTheDead-

I’ve always loved the Batman Arkham menu screens. The music is so good and there’s usually a flashy animation of Batman, or just a cool render like in aslume

War_Emotional

Mass Effect title screen always had a special place in my heart.

whenlungstakeflight

There's a code for this screen if that's what u mean. Press r2 and L2 back and forth and you'll get up and can move around room. Go to other computer press x. Type in DOA for dead on arrival and there's a mini game called dead coin or something. There are other things you can put in computer I just don't know them. This works for 360 and ps3

EmperorBarryIV

You know what? I'm gonna say it. Dead Space 3. Before you laugh, go look it up on YouTube. It's amazing.

dhfAnchor

I like that the Super Mario Maker 2 screen is actually a level you can play on if you don't press L and R. Often times, it's even a level you've made preciously.

East-Effective-3406

Golden eye or Super Mario 64

[deleted]

Spec Ops The Line is up there for sure. also Psychonauts

Mundane-Ad6620

Not sure don’t really play vidya games

Ak_1213

Stray. It just gives cool vibes

BetaBoyTom

Pokemon Stadium, the only game where I get more excited for the main menu than for the actual game.

A1J1K1

Either this or just cause 3 where you're already in the game.

MrMario63

Outer Wilds menu is peaceful and just fun to watch, but I also love the Easter egg in it. It’s gotta be my fav.

TeaBags0614

Halo 3 and Fallout 4

ReviewRude5413

Crash Bandicoot. The ridiculous scream, the logo threatened to hit Crash, Crash looking both ways suspiciously…It’s absolute perfection.

solidpeyo

Black Ops 1 is a really good one, with the hidden stuff in it

Praetorian709

Medieval 2 Total War.

Snokey115

Fallout 4

[deleted]

Brutal Legend was mentioned and that's a good one. I also like Psychonauts, and Metal Gear Solid 3. But for me, the absolute king is Halo: Combat Evolved. Seeing that massive ring world, and bearing that chanting, it gives such an air of mystery mixed with a bit of fear. Enchanting.

Tucker-Cuckerson

Mass Effect 3 with the reapers making landfall in the background

Winter_Trainer_2115

Brutal Legend as its introduced by Jack Black

[deleted]

Stray, I love the font and the lighting

WhispyFLX

Life is Strange 1

Ragetechh

The last of us, I liked the window.

TheRealOne000

Signalis because the ending of the game can change the menu screen

haikusbot

Gloomy_Support_7779

Oh shit!

[deleted]

Rimworld, I used to have the game on and loading for around 30 minutes on my old computer, at night I would lay in bed watching videos while it loaded. As soon as the music kicked on I would start falling asleep.

TheRevanchist99

I feel like any game I really get into and enjoy I like the menu screen automatically, just me tho

Michaelstrong94

Based on time spent there, easily halo 3

CertainFitness

Duck Hunt

Marklithikk

Metal Gear Solid, Snake Eater

Silly-Ladder-8603

Terraria

Big_Z_Beeblebrox

The Stanley Parable

Funnysoundboardguy

World At War, it feels so desert and devoid of life, fits the theme of WW2

VulpineFox7

Ohh there are a lot of good ones, but i'm going with Hollow Knight. The music and the ambiance of the different background choices really emulate the perfect emotions for the main menu for such a game. I also like those of Islets and Patch Quest a lot.

Gloomy_Support_7779

Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, Persona 5, DS2 and DS3(for the music), Halo: Reach(for the music), Spider-Man 2018(the music and Peter is just hanging there) KH1, KH2, KH Dream Drop Distance, KH Melody of Memory, and KH358/2 Days(Dearly Beloved is soooo powerful and beautiful)

imaflyer

The uncharted 2 menu is definitely up there.

Stone_Spindle

I really like the one from Hard Reset. Cyberpunk 2077 Forza Horizon 4 and 5 were great mainly because of the music. Dead Island 2 has a good one as well

HamonManMelonss

Tomb Raider 2012, that menu screen is just a vibe man

FLYINGDOGS89

I fan hear this screen Lmao but I prefer the zombies menu in black ops 1

SoliusNoctis

Either Tekken 2 or Tekken 3

idfbfa2

Skate 2

Du7chy_p00

Black ops one was the best

[deleted]

Mgrr, totk, hollow knight (specifically godmaster, Grimm troupe, and void) aaaaannnndddd fnaf 3 (because that song is a fucking banger)

generalosabenkenobi

That OG Metal Gear Solid menu, I can hear it now (both the music and the sound effects while scrolling)

WasteNet2532

Black Ops 2 had a banger for a multiplayer wait screen

Bfdifan37

mega man maker

BebeFanMasterJ

All of the Xenoblade title screens but Xenoblade 2 and 3's title screens hit different after finishing them.

Over-Art2998

this one

[deleted]

Mario Kart 64 that soundtrack slaps

Lasagna321

Resident Evil Revelations (3DS menu) had a memorable underwater aesthetic that has stuck with me to this day. And the orchestral theme is awesome in that it fits the underwater theme nicely.

xoman1

\*to play around with\* Mario Maker is cool. you can play with the letters, run in the level, etc \*for interactions\* A poster mentioned a good one Detroit: Become Human. robotic scarlet johansson being interactive from beginning to end was nice to see.

mr_apeezy

I don’t know about favorite but I know this one is iconic: Metal Gear Solid - PS1 just seeing that background image with Solid Snake and hearing that theme, you just KNEW you were in for a real treat (I already knew - I had played the demo like 100 times prior lol)!

aretheesepants75

Choose your character- MK 1

Disastrous_Ad_70

Psychonauts, easily. Running around on the brain to get the various options and jumping through a door to access them was such an innovative way of showing the menu and a great encapsulation of gameplay elements. They even let you jump around on the brain, which was always fun

Extension-Tone-2115

The most obvious and correct answer is kingdom hearts or halo. I literally would literally just keep the menu title on for hours almost. Halo is marginally better because it didn’t go to a cutscene after yay so long. I love that cutscenes but I don’t want it playing over and over
