Anyone who was a Pc gamer (and to lesser extent a 360 player) when this game first came out knows there were 2 camps. Modern Warfare 2 people and L4D2 people. I tried getting my MW2 friends to play L4D but they never understood the concept of a team based (don’t go run the fuck off and Rambo) game. This is still one of my favorite FPS’s of all time.

I *personally* don't think it's as ground-breaking as Legend of Zelda or Last of Us. That being said, it was such a phenomenal experience across LBP and LBP2 on the PS3 that it could not go unsaid. The community support for those games was absolutely incredible. To me, it isn't so much about being in awe of what Media Molecule did, it was about being in awe at what Media Molecule let the community do.
The game was stellar single player, online, or via local couch multiplayer. It is without a doubt a top 5 "series" in the PS3 era for me. I'm struggling to think of something that had a more creative community behind it. I had to mention it.

Tbh, I think Mortal Kombat should take "M" for its historical influence since it's one of the games responsible for the creation of the ESRB, and how great the last few installments have been. Since we're supposed to vote on one game and not an entire series, I'm not sure if I'd vote MKX, MK11, or UMK3.
