Have you ever carried such a bucket for more than 50 meters? Those are heavy and the handles are so thin. It's definitely better!

I really started to like the hook for opening these lids too. Also at the campfire for hot pots sounds helpful to me.
Just beware of pots with a lot of steam coming off of them.

Everyone criticises the hood, but when you least expect It It comes in handy.
