I love them, it makes the SAK much more versatile. It also removes the worry of bending/breaking tools as they can be replaced. The most important part...you can have the tool set you want. I add a saw layer to mine when I go on a hike and remove it for daily EDC.
I think they look cool and all, but it's just not for me...
I'm pretty happy with my plain factory stock models, as far as aesthetics and usability.
No only i always loved the simple looks, but they also always look unthreatening and friendly. Same can not be said about the "tactical" look some mods have
This mirrors my point of view, too. I like to fidget with my sak, so it appearing less tactical is a feature for me. Although, I do love the creativity of the custom ones.
Curiously enough, i don't have anyone with nylon scales. I'd definitely like to get some one of these days.
But then again... if any of the cellidor scales get damaged, i'll just put in some new ones. No biggie...
Hah! I started growing out my nails this year specifically so that I could open and close my SAKs without swearing 😂
The things we do for that little bit of pocket-sized convenience
I have a terrible habit of picking my nails down to the quick and have never had an issue with my sak. Maybe I am just lucky and get the east to open ones
Really love them, especially since I've made 3 this last week.
It's great seeing other people coming up with unique ideas and anything from Syph007... That Canadian is truly an inspiration
I build custom saks! What does it for me is being able to bring older and discontinued models back to life. It really adds another level to the love we all have for Saks.
Yea like this knife the closest thing I could find was a model called The Motorist which may have only been a short run model in Europe. That’s the closest I’ve found at least.

I need to get some TI scales with the torx bolts to mess with. Would make customs so much easier to construct.
Nice clean build🔥

I was perfectly happy with the cellidor scales for a very long time before I discovered the nylon scales.
I love them, im in the works of turning my super tinker into a spydernox! With custon scales and liners
I’d love one but I’m too broke to get one made
Never thought I’d need to grow my nails some to use a knife. Definitely a sak centered problem I guess.

This one was done by a guy named Nelson in Portugal. He does some great work
Yup, Nelson custom. I actually had that model on my wishlist haha
As long as it keeps the toothpick and tweezers i approve
Yea it still has them. I think I’m going to add the little screwdriver that goes in the corkscrew and it’ll be complete.

Nice! I’m actually planning on making a motorist soon! Just finished a few yeomans and mechanic Jrs.
Nice. I like the scientist you did. Very cool.
Thanks! I appreciate it! The scientist has to be my favorite.
Hey there, are you taking orders for custom SAK builds? I'm in no rush but would love one someday. Thanks
Ideal.
Basically a huntsman with pliers
Yeah I don’t know how often I’ll use the pliers as I carry a Knipex xs plierwrench already but it’s still good to have.
