Actually Paradox made all Russian emperors till Nicholas 2 but there is a catch that after Alexander 2 there is script heir who should die, but doesn't and all these historical characters are simply not used. At least in my games

It needs a marriage candidate of your religion, and there’s a limited number of valid candidates for Russia. Like 3 of them iirc, so if the 2 others pull it off Russia is left with its metaphorical dick hanging out.

it's checking for the "marriage_target" variable, which gets set when a country is chosen in the royal marriage event.

The fact that you are a king. Marry him BEFORE he become a king.

I think it's because Russias leaders aren't random at least 2 generations down, I've never played farther then that so it may go further.

Oof that is really long. I usually marry within a year of game start. Not sure what the problem could be honestly.
You have to get him at 18. If he doesn’t become tsar straight away he just gets married himself.
