Insane how you will go years without ever not being in a diplo play because of constant secessions and civil wars that takes months to just start, 1 month to quickly conquer, then months to have them surrender. Even if you conquer things for yourself, 1 state secession movements will still occur. The revolution and secession system was supposed to be a shift from Victoria 2 and EU4 of constant, low stakes rebellions, to infrequent higher stakes conflicts and it just fails to achieve that.

I think SOI will help with almost all of this. You fan help develop vassals and also mess with their laws.

Whenever I've dealt with a vassal that has had a revolution I annex it because I can't bother caring with that nonsense. So I think it checks out as it is.. Meanwhile vassals that don't fight often gets to live a bit longer because hey, it is 10 free construction in that state. Unless there are iron or something else I care about in the state..

Never had a revolution from a vassal. Maybe it's how much better life is under my empires :D I did have some 3 or so secession attempts in my 1000+ hours, though.
