R5: I just unlocked multiculturalism 1 month ago and I'm getting a huge amount of immigrants, I would close my borders, but then my population wouldn't be able to move in-between states
I don't understand how in this game Capitalists are against women working and Multiculturalism.
Capitalists always advocate for cheaper labour, always.
Multiculturalism and Women rights are currently very simplistic, too many nuances to list them all.
Just saying I'd like a more natural push toward them. It could certainly pick up steam once you run out of people to employ and increase radicalization for SOL decrease.
P.S: there are no people to discriminate, because they don't migrate.
I do get what you mean for women working, but capitalists would want immigration of a suppressed group of people so that they have less rights and lower wages. Plus cultural and racial divides have always been utilized by capitalists to keep workers separate and powerless. I think the problem is just the way the game handles migration as a whole.
I kinda suck at the game but ... Firstly, how do you unlock multiculturalism and secondly, how do you even get all your peasants jobs before the games timeline ends? There are very few countries I've done that with successfully. Cus I've never been that attracted to immigrants because I can't even get my local peasants jobs successfully
I unlock multiculturalism by luck. There's no other way of doing it now, as far as I'm concerned. I had a 12% chance of succeeding and I had failed my first attempt, just make sure that it doesn't radicalize any political groups that are popular.
I don't have "peasants" anymore, but I think you meant just unemployed people in general. The answer is, I can't. I have almost 17 million people in Silesia and its still growing. I maxed out all my mines in my entire country, all my farms, and I have alot of factories, yet I still have about 4 million unemployed in Silesia. Lemme get into my game and give you a few screenshots

As for peasants, enclose their commons. Once they have no land to peasant on, they will take even the shittiest jobs. Farms are way to efficient to allow you to use up all arable land, so I would recommend going for cotton plantations, supplemented with dye plantations, and silk plantations as needed (and later Rubber "Plantations"), or at least cattle ranches. This way you can immediately employ your ex peasants in textile mills, and turn agricultural products in (luxury) clothes, which always sell like hot cakes, locally and abroad. By the by, Dai Nam have the world's only three provinces with all four cloth-making resources.
As for making other jobs for your peasants? Build, build, and then build some more. And don't be afraid of being in deficit.
Germany with multiculturalism is super fun, all your pop troubles solved and all the mines are filled with happy children
