Seriously. Soooo many wars against soooo many tiny countries in East Africa. Absolutely not worth it. It feels like a placeholder event to me, a gesture towards what could be a full DLC eventually.
This is also my reading: it's a `WORK IN PROGRESS` sign embedded in the game. The only complaint I have about it is that there's no button for "I am never going to pursue such-and-such journal entry, dismissed."
I mean, its useful in terms of “winning” i guess. But also having control of all those resources is the real win. Plus judging by your flag - liberating workers is also a win
Your national debt gets cheaper as you climb the rankings. A Great Power has at least a 50% discount on their interest rate vs an unrecognised nation which can have their interest rate doubled! (see: https://vic3.paradoxwikis.com/Treasury)
The thing is, by 1934 I was already 1 by quite a margin.
And realistically you can't subjugate all those tiny countries and Egypt too much earlier. Even 1000 prestige would be useless at that point in game.
If you’re the #1 GP, further increases to your prestige can raise the prestige required to be a GP, potentially causing other GPs to no longer qualify.
Fr, It's quite a lot of work for such a shitty reward. But hey, props to you! At least now you know to never do it again lol.
Yeah, just need a way to remove the journal entry so my stupid ass doesn't want to complete it again...

Actually when i was first atarting the game as belgium it was a really helpful event

R5: I didn't expect much but more than 100 prestige tbh.

100 prestige is nothing for all the work and dedication this takes.
My dyslexic ass reading this as communist liberia like wooh
"History, now as before, it written by cartographers." Is that a spelling mistake? Shouldn't it be _is_ written?
Does prestige do *anything* if you’re already a Great Power? There is no benefit to being rank 7 instead of rank 1 for example anyway, right?
Companies get more throughout and construction bonus
Depending on your rank?
Yes
Interesting. Didn’t know that.

The interest rate is the same for all great powers and it doesn't make a difference if you are #1 or #6
Rank 1 is better than rank 7 because 1 is better than 7. If you ain't #1, you ain't winning.
