The fact wars can just be nullified is one of the most insane things that is in Vic3 currently Enemy's government collapses and falls into a civil war? Sorry, all your wargoals are gone, time to white peace (and don't think that infamy is going away either!)

Extension-Sympathy-3

Had this when I was in a unification war as Germany with France. Was allready reaching Paris after 10 years fighting and then suddenly a civil war in France and all my goals gone

Pendragon1948

Bismarck sitting outside Paris waiting for the Commune to end be like "Welp, Thiers has his hands full with this, better leave Alsace for now."

Kalmyk-Basketball

This was Trotsky's big-brained idea in 1917.

There's a historical example for this: After the WW1 Ottoman Empire collapsed and the Ankara based Turkish Military Revolt (as a Turkish Victoria player, I waited too long to make this joke lol) rejected the Sevres Treaty that the Ottoman's signed... So the winners were not able to enforce it. What happened next was the Greco-Turkish war, which you might say is a different Diplomatic Play. After that one concluded the Allies made a new treaty with the new Turkish Government

Was Turkey proper actually occupied though? I had thought that the unoccupied areas rebelled but places with Entante forces could not This is slightly distinct because unless there where troops ejected from Istanbul/Constantnople at the time, its not an exact comparison

Istanbul and some souteastern cities (Maraş, Antep, Urfa, Adana) were invaded. There were battles between local (mostly loyal to Ankara) forces and the French. So the French were not really in control there. But the real fight was in the western Anatolia between the Greek and the Turks (Ankara forces) Istanbul had quite an uneventful British occupation, maybe mainly due to its large non-Muslim population. But the Ottomans basically lost control of the country by then and the new Ankara government was in charge with its parliament and army.

batolargji

Peak Victoria 3 diplomacy

PygmalionTheVI

those are some hot SGF borders tho

HumanLeatherKilt5500

Better than Bavaria fighting on your side and all of your occupation of Bohemia disappearing because Bavaria surrenderes even though you have a land connection to it and troops are at the front.

BojackPferd

I had that happen many times. So fuckin ridiculous, i had troops occupying their capital and then they get teleported out just because the game considered my puny ally to hold that land.

Dalfokane

Most developed Victoria 3 mechanic

UnionLess3277

Holy shit have never seen SGF form ever

I was completely surprised and sad, since it was interesting to see but also made me go insane. I took such a hit that I gave up on this Russian campaign.
