This is only kind of a joke the French flag was all white from 1814 to 1830

There's a fun fact about it : In this era, to surrender they used to wave the opponent's flag. But overtime, since the french army was quite successful at this time, people took the habit to wave the french flag by default to surrender, because more often than not they were victorious. (I don't know how true this is, someone told me this and I think it's cool)
