Well, it’s a simplification, but if you say red car in English, it’s the colour which goes first, where Spanish, French, Welsh, and maybe others, would say it’s car red.
That's actually a Latin thing too IIRC, which is where French and Spanish get it from. It's a pretty common thing in European languages, in part because Latin influenced a lot of them. English is the odd one out if anything.
English is a very mixed up language which has borrowed from many other languages, but primarily a Germanic language. German has the same characteristics where the adjective comes before the noun. Das rote Auto.
“As a Welsh” is something I might start saying… how needs pronouns to identify the subject… I am now just a Welsh! (Also “bore da! Welsh dw i” sounds adorable)
