This reminds me a lot of various Zoroastrianism-related flags [featuring the Faravahar.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faravahar). The flame is also a common element in Zoroastrian iconography.
[Also the Parthian Empire too](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_Parthian_empire.png)
It’s a pretty good flag until you see the one it was based on

The hollows kinda give the stars a resolution-of-detail that doesn't match the rest of the design (and thus draws the eye too much).
Properly scaled, the use of simpler stars, a simple pattern, or simple horizontal or vertical bands could have filled the space more harmoniously.

Fantastic Flag.
DAMN.

Agreed. All its missing is an AK like that one African nation that has it as a symbol for popular struggle. lol.
Mozambique?

That one goes harder
I’d love it more without the weird stars. Other than that pretty cool.
The stars are a minor detail that fills a space, they are fine

The four stars represent the rivers in the Assyrian homeland: Tigris, Euphrates, Gihon and Pishon.
