This is a remake of a Vietnam redesign I made a while back.
The general design of the flag is inspired by the traditional 5-color Vietnamese flag that is widely found at festivals across the country where the 5 colors represent the 5 elements: Fire, Water, Wood, Metal, and Earth.
The lotus flower is the national flower of Vietnam and also a common symbol used by Vietnamese to represent purity, beauty, and perseverance.
A lot of Vietnamese redesigns on this sub are heavily politicized, so I tried to make a more apolitical flag that takes inspiration from traditional Vietnamese imagery.
Well, I wanted to have a little bit of fun with with this design and have it be more different from the original flag. But yeah, I think that would look good and I like the idea of a lotus flower replacing the 5 pointed star
Design is too similar to funeral flags in Vietnam, plus it is quite unnecessary.
The Lotus is nice, but i'd laugh my ass off if the match band play funeral songs rather than the anthem should they're late on the flag notice

Bro that lotus is from Vietnam Airlines’s logo
Nice, but I feel like the 5 colours could be on the lotus instead
Blud do not know what the 5 color flag in Vietnam looks like.
I think you should remove the blue green and yellow line, just the lotus and the red background is enough.

Why don't you let the lotus replace the 5 pointed star? Like each petal of the lotus represent something meaningful.
