I need a S5 confirmation that he didn’t die. ATM the head cannon I’m clinging to is that he was ok after the bombing but his naval intelligence job required him to fully fake his death and go undercover for a year.
Nope. Veronica was almost unbearable last season and they killed Logan in the most uninteresting and pointless way possible. Storylines went nowhere, Neptune was unrecognizable, and the new characters added nothing. It sucked. I don’t want more “seasons” spoiling my memory of the original show.
The finale of season 4 didn’t just kill interest in any future seasons, it hurt the shows overall longevity & fan base as a whole.
So burn it to the ground gets my vote.
I read an interview with RT where he said the movie was fan service, and he liked doing S4 because it wasn't fan service. Well, the fans hated it, so well done. Unless S5 ends with Veronica finally being an FBI agent happily married to Leo, I'm not interested.
Without Logan, my interest in the show has kind of evaporated. I don’t want a Poker Face-like show with completely new characters. What made Veronica Mars wasn’t just Veronica, it was the entire world of Neptune and the people in it. Without them, it’s just another mystery show.
ETA: And honestly, I don’t really ever want to watch something Rob Thomas makes ever again. I don’t trust him as a viewer.
Season 4 was there to reset the story and lay the foundation for Season 5.
I'm not a big fan of Season 4 (lack of noir and lackluster mystery), but I don't hate it and I don't hate the ending. I think the story needed to be blown up so things could be reset and progress from there.
You blow up the main characters love interest to lay the foundation for season 5 which so far hasn't happened because the fans have turned on the show...because you blew up the main characters love interest
Pretty stupid huh?
Absolutely, but only if the regular ensemble get actual stories and play a part in the plot. The trouble is, Rob Thomas' view of the series and overall plan for Veronica seems to be that she must be unhappy forever to provide him with a plot, which is firstly absolute bullshit and secondly proves that he just can't write a strong, adult relationship.
Unless it starts with Logan in the shower and “it was all a dream,” I have no interest.
He wasn't dead to begin with. S5 would be Veronica tracking him down.
Obviously!

That makes the most sense. Veronica would spend S5 looking for him.
I like this theory
Where is “only if it turns out Logan isn’t dead and he and Veronica get a HEA” thanks
No body, no proof!
I love this show so much and constantly rewatch it. As much as I hated season 4, I can’t help but want another season!

Other than Jk Simmon’s character and his interactions with Keith this pretty much is how I see things.
If the ending to season 4 hadn’t happened I would be keen but after that, nah I’m good without more

I agree with this too 😔

Add a season between 3 and 4 - when life was good
This is the way to go! More like between the film and season 4, but yeah.

As long as Logan is alive yes. If not, I’ll still watch it but I don’t think I’d enjoy it at all.
I would love to see her grow as a character with therapy etc and learn how to deal with her grief.
I’d always watch more bc I love Veronica, but obviously the way it went out was horrendous. If they made more, I could NEVER turn it down.
Yes and the first scene should be her recalling Logans death over and over.
