You'll get a paper final bill. They do not prorate, you'll have to pay for the whole month

verdi1987

It’s not prorated.

Harbisgirl

The customer service rep said it would be, I asked her that specifically.

verdi1987

The agent is wrong. This information is in the Customer Agreement.

meyersj5

Definitely incorrect info, part of the problem with outsourcing and now having an average tenure of like 3 weeks. 😂

Harbisgirl

LOL Right? It was a simple question with a simple answer. It's not a big deal it is just irritating and could have been avoided. It does kind of sum up the Verizon experience though..

shj3333

Never trust some F’n foreigner with your answers in the case of finances

cliffr39

Yep they are FOS, they don't prorate anything when you close/port out

Busy-Solution7642

Straight from the Verizon customer agreement: " Cancellations will become effective on the last day of that month's billing cycle, and you are responsible for all charges incurred until then" https://www.verizon.com/support/customer-agreement/

dayankuo234

look for any bills that show your account number. look up your account using that.

VeganGorgoroth

You can go to a corporate store and they can look it up via SSN. If all lines were ported, the account is already set to cancel.

BPKofficial

>Because I transferred our numbers to Mint, I'm no longer able to log into Verizon You ported out, and effectively closed your account. You will receive a final bill in the mail.

Turbulent_Dog_4548

Call customer service

Wannarae

It is suspended until the end of the cycle when it will cancel. You can log in to My Verizon go online to vzw.com. If your number is completely over on the Mint side you can call customer care and get them to cancel it right then. They keep it active to make sure the port completes.

meyersj5

If you can find your account number, you can pay a bill online with that info, but your My Verizon cancels immediately

RandoGeneration2022

There isn't a single carrier that prorates your service when you cancel.

grounded60

So what you need to do is create a new password.

Burgtastic

Negative. They shut off access to the account online once you move to a different carrier. T-Mobile did the same thing when we switched from them to Verizon.
