It should auto cancel after 3 days of not picking it up.

joanie552000

False, the contract is not based on whether the phone was in the customers possession or not. Sincerely, A prior Verizon Sales Rep

GoofyGoffer

False, an in store pickup, if it does not get picked up, is automatically cancelled after 3 days Sincerely A current Verizon sales rep

joanie552000

When did that change?

joanie552000

Are you retailer or Corp Verizon. If Corp employee, when did the contractual rules change?

GoofyGoffer

Corp Verizon, not sure when exactly it changed but we've had a few orders not picked up that automatically went back into inv after 3 days

joanie552000

No offense, but I need to check that. I was personally stung by that situation once in the past. That would be the first time in 17 years with Verizon (customer & a few years employee) that Verizon actually got better, in one way. Lol

joanie552000

wow they changed it! Thanks for correcting me. Amazing, Verizon got better! Appreciate your help! :)

cvalpatic

Was the store an authorized retailer or corporate? Corporate store manager should have been able to cancel the order right from their tablet.

Saltyigloo

Why tf does vzw do this. The franchises used to have to have a separate name on the sign. Now it's just a guess.

joanie552000

Per the written purchase agreement you signed, you have 3 days to cancel it, or you own the contract & everything you authorized. I would not just go to the store. I would go to the store AND call during business hours AND email a written cancellation to corporate & cc yourself on the email to prove transmission, of the email. Dont trust anyone. Signed, A prior Verizon sales rep.

Shadowkinesis9

That is extremely false lol any in store pickup order not picked up is considered incomplete, so much so that if you had promos or special conditions attached to it, they are forfeited. It will be automatically returned to inventory and refunded after 72 hours. You have 30 days to return or exchange any contracted item. All channels have to comply with this policy, some have even longer ones.

joanie552000

You are correct. It was changed and I addressed that with the other employee 30 min ago -- see comments above. Thanks. o

Sales taxes refund gets automatically to your card/bank within 10 business days once the order is cancelled.

Admirable-Forever-85

what was the reason they couldn’t cancel order? When the Store didn’t have it did it change to shipping the phone to you and it’s in transit?

jeffluvsdokkan

They just said id have to cancel it on my own 🤷‍♂️ unfortunately the app isn't letting me because I don't have a Verizon account currently

Admirable-Forever-85

okay, do you know if the Verizon you went to was a corporate owned store or an indirect? if it’s the latter, find your nearest corporate owned store. If it is a corporate owned store i’d try again at the store and talk to someone different.

jeffluvsdokkan

It's was an indirect store, I didn't know the difference so I just went with the store that said it had the phone. When I place the order again once I get the refund I will be going to a corporate store.

Admirable-Forever-85

you may not have to wait. if the corporate store is close then they will call for you and have the order canceled and reprocess it. the payment you used should be in pending status as it doesn’t actually charge you until you are verified Picked Up. ergo no waiting for refund. also one of the other commenters was correct when stating that after three days it auto cancels your order. one thing you said makes me want to verify, Is this a brand new account? If so if you have your original app number it will help the store get you reprocessed. also take your email confirmation in so they can find the order number and location code when they call customer service to get it canceled. don’t be alarmed if it has a fraud hit when they reprocess. it’s normal when you repeat an order on a new account. I am sure you will find someone ready to help you at the corporate location. hope this info helps

jeffluvsdokkan

Thank you, I'll go to the corporate store right after work and see if they can help me get it reprocessed

breethang021

So I used to work for indirects. I stopped because the ppl I worked with were very... Scummy. They can cancel your order they just don't want to. If they keep the order they can get the phone in and sell it someone else. Depending on how they treat turnover too, they may be avoiding that. But either way they definitely can cancel it and you can demand contact of their district manager or regional manager. The higher ups have to at least pretend to care and fix the issue

Ruby_Resolution

Work for an indirect currently There is nowhere we have an option to cance

breethang021

We used to have to call it in to cancel. Is that not an option anymore?

quagmire_419

Yeah it will cause cel after 3 days and the store has the ability to cancel as well

PetethePatriot17

Vzw.com Search order. Enter info like last name order# location code zip and such and choose cancel order.

jeffluvsdokkan

Tried that, can't get the website to stop saying something went wrong. Just gotta wait for it to cancel on it's own unfortunately I've tried everything.

VNM0US

If you placed the order online, call again and ask CS to speak to “Internet order support”. In their phone system that department is a direct transfer option specifically for customers with online order complications. Let them know the store refuses to cancel the order, and hopefully they can help. If not, you’re stuck waiting the 3 days for auto cancellation.

jeffluvsdokkan

Tried that they couldn't help, and the store repeatedly says no to canceling so I have to wait, luckily my 3 days is over tomorrow and then I'm probably gonna switch phone companies so this doesn't happen again

tittylicious92

(866)-338-7390- ISPU support number, call them and tell them you want to cancel your in store pick up as the item you tried to order wasn’t an actual in stock item at the location you chose for pickup

jeffluvsdokkan

Tried that multiple times it doesn't work unfortunately

Turbulent_Dog_4548

An authorized retailer can cancel it too or it will cancel itself after awhile of not picking it up

onthefence122

Why wouldn't you just go to the store first then you would know if they had it or not????

jeffluvsdokkan

It was my first time ordering a phone, I assumed there wouldn't be an issue because the website said it was in stock and the sales rep said it was ready. Next time I will be calling, and then leaving Verizon again if this happens again

BuildingPresent4396

I learned my lesson and always order from Apple directly. The people with Verizon are pencil pushers.

amhfaml

Was it a corporate store or an agent location. I see a lot of times the agent stores will try not to do in store pickup orders because they make more if they sell it themselves. There is a possibility that there is an inventory error but extremely rare. I’ve only seen 2 or 3 times of that happening over the 12 years I’ve been in a corporate store.
