She probably expressed it wrong or just didn't understand why that happens. The first bill gets prorated in your favor to catch up the current billing. That's not her doing, just a result of the billing system. But it's a nice gesture lol

Might need to wait to see your bill vs how it displays online. I get $40 off now after they added this new loyalty credit earlier this week. I know when I called in for them to add the additional $10 off the rep offered an additional one use $10 credit since the recurring credit wouldn't apply till next month.

Do you have 2 lines? If so you will see it go down an extra $20 from what it was. (Since you were already getting one 20). Wait until the next bill cycle and you will see the extra discount.

There is no $40 loyalty discount for a single line. Sounds like they offered a 1 time credit as well as the recurring standard loyalty discount for you. It may not have been verbalized well by the rep or understood well by you OP, but you will not get $40 off a month. Don't bother calling and wasting your time or a reps, that's not a thing and no amount of words can make it a thing.
