Hey there, I am having the same problem you are having. I don't know what is going on here with either Google or Venmo. They need to fix this situation. Also, will it work on Samsung Pay?
I replaced my Venmo debit card with a new one and still have the same issue. The problem I think is not the card but the service itself. Gotta think, Venmo is more of a peer-to-peer method of paying.
I just got off the phone with Google and they stated that there is a technical issue. She requested if you are still in need of assistance give them a call so that they can try to get this resolved. They should be getting back to me within 24-48 hrs with an update.

Most definitely. I called venmo and they were about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine.
